For the third year running, Kiehls have collaborated with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation alongside a celebrity ambassador, to create a limited edition version of a Kiehls bestseller to raise money for the foundation. Last year’s collaboration was with Laura Mvula and the Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream which I featured on my blog back in August last year. For 2017, Kiehls have collaborated with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation and Leona Lewis, and Leona has created a limited edition design of Kiehls bestselling eye cream for the collaboration; the Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado and for every limited edition pot sold, Kiehls will donate a generous £10 to the foundation.
Since the beginning of the partnership in 2015, Kiehls have donated a massive £125,000 for HIV prevention projects worldwide. In 2016 alone Kiehls supported three female focused projects, which together trained 107 peer educators, distributed 15,827 condoms and reached 19,266 young people. It really is a fantastic partnership, and it’s amazing to see such a big beauty brand make such a difference and I wish more brands would follow suit.
The Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado £34 is a product I’ve been wanting to try for such a long time as everyone raves about it, and it’s Kiehls bestselling eye cream. I really respect Kiehls for choosing their bestselling products for the partnership for each of the three years, so they can raise as money as possible. The pot contains 28ml which I think is quite generous for an eye cream which tend to be around the 15ml mark, so this 28ml pot will last for absolutely ages as you only need around a grain of rice sized amount of product per eye.
They do a 14ml size which isn’t included within the charity partnership which is 14ml and costs £22.50, so this 28ml size really is a great deal for £34, especially as £10 will be donated if you purchase one of the special Leona Lewis designed pots with a cute red lid with little avocados all over it.
- Kiehl’s rich and creamy Avocado Eye Treatment is much loved by our patrons.
- The unique, concentrated texture is enriched with Avocado to gently moisturise the delicate eye area.
- The formula does not migrate into eyes and is Ophthalmologist and Dermatologist-Tested.
The eye cream is a yellowy green colour, with a very thick consistency and Kiehls recommend applying the cream with your finger by tapping the cream into the skin until fully absorbed. I was a little sceptical on the claims that the cream wouldn’t migrate into the eyes as I seem to have a weird problem with eye creams as they all tend to get into my eyes no matter how far away from my eye I apply them. I’ve used this eye cream day and night for three weeks and it hasn’t migrated into my eyes once which is amazing, so it never makes my eyes stream or sting.
I have had a dry patch of skin on the underside of my right eyebrow alongside of my nose and this eye cream has really made a difference to how prominent it was. It looks a lot less uneven and noticeable, and the skin around my eyes is hydrated and softened. There are 742 reviews of the cream on the UK site and 93% would recommend this product, so have a look at the reviews to see what everyone had to say if you need any more convincing. It’s a brilliant eye cream, and the fact you’re donating to such a great cause is even better.
I’d love to know if you’ve tried the Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado?
