I’ve declared my love for TIGI many times here on my blog, as they’re my favourite haircare brand so I always like to try their new products as I’m rarely disappointed. When I spotted the TIGI Bed Head Beach Freak Moisturizing Detangler Spray, I bought it instantly as my hair is such a nightmare as it’s very fine and very prone to knots so washing my hair is somewhat of a mission so I’m always on the hunt for products which will make washing my hair a little less traumatic.
I never rough dry my hair with a towel but post-wash my hair is a knotted mess, and although I love my Wet Brush, I always have to use a detangling spray generously throughout my hair to be able to get my Wet Brush through my hair. Until now my favourite detangling sprays are the Paul Mitchell Lite Detangler and the Style Freedom Detangler, but the TIGI Bed Head Beach Freak Moisturizing Detangler Spray is the best detangler I’ve ever tried… by far.
TIGI Bed Head Beach Freak Moisturizing Detangler Spray £16.25 (full price but always on offer at JustMyLook)
“Aloha summer! This moisturising spray works to detangle beach hair leaving it ready to style for hot summer nights. Suitable for all hair types, the detangling formula intensely nourishes hair, easing out tangles for snag–free brushing and works to reduce breakage.
Contains Seaweed extract which is known as a source of minerals and proteins which has the ability to keep itself from drying out. Also contains a trusted UV complex. The formula is a milky texture and works to soften, nourish and moisturise dry hair.”
The spray smells incredible, just like all of the TIGI products. They really do have the best scented haircare products, but this spray is on another level. TIGI describe the scent as being mango and tangerine, but to me it smells just like yellow Starburst/Opalfruit sweets, and the scent lingers in the hair so I find myself casually smelling my hair throughout the day as it smells so good.
The bottle has a spray pump which isn’t the best spray dispenser as it doesn’t dispense a fine, even mist like I’d hope it would but to me it doesn’t really matter as I have to use it generously throughout my hair anyway and I find I need to do around ten sprays to generously coat my waist length hair.
Once I’ve thoroughly sprayed my hair, I then go ahead and use my Wet Brush to brush my hair and my brush glides through my hair considerably better. When using this spray, I don’t have to tug at my hair to try and brush through any knots so it’s kinder on my hair and it really does condition my hair at the same time so I don’t have to use a leave in conditioner as well as a detangler as this spray does both.
Even though I’m very generous with how much spray I use on my hair, it never leaves my hair feeling greasy or weighed down which is why I love it so much as it’s very moisturising and effective yet is very lightweight too so I think it would be a good option for those with hair that gets greasy very quickly. I really wish TIGI would create body spray fragrances in the scents of their haircare products as everything smells amazing, and the scent of the TIGI Beach Freak is definitely one of my favourite TIGI products I’ve tried.
I would love to know what your favourite hair detangler is?
