Superdrug are absolutely killing it right now with their skincare and haircare ranges, with their Optimum skincare collection having completely wowed me. I tried a sample of the Superdrug Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner a few months ago and I really liked them so when I spotted that they’d launched a new range I really wanted to try it. The Superdrug Avocado and Manuka Honey Haircare Collection consists of three products; a Shampoo, a Conditioner and a Conditioning Spray all of which cost just £3.99.
The Superdrug Avocado and Manuka Honey Haircare Collection is totally cruelty free and the shampoo and conditioner contain a generous 400ml, whilst the conditioner spray contains 150ml. Avocados are all over our Instagram feeds in the mornings but I actually don’t like the taste or texture of avocado so although I don’t eat it myself, I can still appreciate its benefits especially with beauty products which is why this range appealed to me so much.
The range is designed to nourish and smooth hair which veers towards the dry and damaged end of the spectrum, with the moisturising properties of avocado and honey to soften and smooth frizz. The Shampoo and Conditioner work to thoroughly cleanse the hair whilst adding shine for healthy looking shine. The trio smell divine and I know it sounds very strange but to me they smell like banana in a tropical kind of way, and the scent is really quite strong especially with the Nourishing Spray which leaves my hair scented for upto three days almost as if it’s an hair fragrance.
The shampoo really lathers well to thoroughly cleanse the hair and scalp and the conditioner is nice and hydrating too. If you love beautifully scented haircare products which are super budget friendly, this trio is definitely worth a try and I hope Superdrug will introduce more products into the range such as an hair mask or detangler as I love the scent so much. If you have oily hair, I’d recommend reading MammafulZo‘s review too as she has oily hair, and she had amazing results too.
Have you tried any of the Superdrug haircare products before?
