Degustabox October 2017
For today’s post, I have the Degustabox October box to show you. I have no idea where October went but it’s crazy to think that November is just days away. For the Degustabox October box, there’s a loose Halloween theme for a couple of the items but there isn’t a theme as such for the whole box this month. If you want to see the contents of previous boxes, I have featured the August Degustabox and September Degustabox on my blog previously.
There are two drinks within this month’s box; the Feel Good Drinks Water Infusions in Strawberry & Mint as well as the Feel Good Drinks Refreshingly Still in Orange, Mango & Water each worth £1.20. I’ve not tried either of these but I’m looking forward to trying them as they sound really refreshing.
The Degustabox October 2017 included a few cupboard staples such as Heinz No Added Sugar Hoops worth 75p which aren’t the most exciting product to get in a food subscription box, but everyone loves spaghetti hoops. Next up is the Kabuto Thai Green Chicken Curry Rice Noodles worth £1.99 which sound really delicious, they’re gluten free and only take a few minutes to make.
Then we got the Cirio Valfrutta Basmati Rice + Lentils and Spelt with black olives, dried tomatoes and capers which really doesn’t float my boat sadly as I hate olives and I hate capers but the flavours differ from box to box so hopefully you’ll get one that you’ll enjoy. Lastly a sample size of the LoSalt which contains 66% less sodium than regular table salt.
Next up we got 2 x Pulsin Kids Fruity Oat Orange Choc Chip Bars worth 59p each which contain gluten free oats, real fruit and natural ingredients. Also a big bag of Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs worth £2.29 which I’ve not tried yet but they look like yellow wotsits with herbs, so I’m looking forward to trying them as I love chickpeas and these are high in fibre and a source of protein.
Onto the chocolately items which are usually my favourite… a pack of Michel Et Augustin Super Cookies worth £1.60 which are soft cookies with a Nutella like cream within the middle, and they really were amazing and something I’d definitely repurchase. Another item I’ll be sure to repurchase is the Nuttvia 97% Less Sugar Hazlenut Spread Bread Stick Snack Pack worth £1.70 which are an healthier version of the old classic Choc Dips I used to have when I was little. The last chocolatey item is the Pip’s Real Hot Chocolate Co Coin in Orange, which is a chocolate coin you put into hot milk for a hot chocolate, so I’ll keep this for a really cold evening as it sounds divine.
The two very loose Halloween items are the Vimto Millions Gift Jar worth £2.99 which is my favourite item from the box as I love Millions anyway, but the Vimto flavouring makes them even better. The second Halloween item is a single Pechkeks Misfortune Cookie which is a black fortune cookie with a dark humour ‘misfortune’ inside.
The last three items within the Degustabox October box are from the brand Lee Kum Kee with the Sweet Soy Sauce, Honey Garlic Spare Ribs Sauce as well as the Tomato Garlic Prawn Sauce worth 85p each. I’m really looking forward to trying all three of these as I love Chinese food and they’ve got award winning, and award commended badges on the packets so they’re obviously popular products. Each sauce can be used with other meats too which I think is really handy.
So that’s everything inside my box. I’d love to know your thoughts on the products within the October box?
