Neal’s Yard Remedies are such a lovely, luxurious brand which I’d known about long before I began blogging almost five years ago – in fact they launched in 1981 with their passionate belief that beauty should be natural, not synthetic and they’ve amassed an huge amount of awards since their launch over 30 years ago.
Frankincense features in a lot of Neal’s Yard products and I was first introduced to the Neal’s Yard Frankincense Intense collection with the Frankincense Intense Lift Serum and the Frankincense Intense Beauty Boost, and the range has been extended even further thanks to the new Neals Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Lift Cream.
I don’t think I’m within the demographic intended for this particular product so I can’t give you a full review as I don’t have visible lines and wrinkles just yet but I can give you all of the factual product information as well as my initial thoughts.
Neal’s Yard Remedies say;
Our multi-action nourishing cream visibly lifts and recontours. Contains an exclusive Frankincense Active Phyto Complex – an exciting scientific breakthrough with proven collagen protecting properties and a profound antioxidant effect*. Perfect for combatting the second signs of ageing, including loss of firmness, reduced elasticity and deep lines and wrinkles.
Targeted lifting technology of restoring ribose, redefining linseed extract and stimulating micro algae help to redefine your facial contours, leaving your jawline feeling firmer and cheeks more taut.
An ultra-nourishing trio of organic butters and oils help to strengthen, soften and restore your skin. The chiuri butter from Nepal is a great ethical and sustainable natural alternative to palm oil.
Hydrating hyaluronic acid plumps the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles for a smoother look and feel.
Neal’s Yard always have beautifully packaged products but the Neals Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Lift Cream is on another level with its weighty blue glass jar and metallic gold lid which is also weighty. The box even has a velvety almost rubberised texture with foiled writing and just looks and feels decadent.
Out of 100 women that tested the cream over six weeks, 75% of women found that their jawline felt firmer as well as their cheeks feeling more taut so I think this would be a gorgeous gift for Christmas for anyone in your family that has concerns about their cheeks, jawline, loss of firmness, deep lines and wrinkles especially if you were to gift it as a duo/trio alongside the other two Frankincense Intense products.
I did try the cream for several nights and it is extremely rich so it’s one you’d want to apply at night so it can have time to fully absorb but even then it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin. Just like the rest of the NYR products, the Neals Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Lift Cream does have a strong essential oil kind of scent which won’t appeal to everyone but I find that it adds to the overall experience and it feels therapeutic and calming as part of your evening skincare routine. If you already own the serum they’d be a dream team duo to use each evening and they couldn’t look any prettier on your dressing table or bedside cabinet.
I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of the Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense collection yet?
