I stumbled upon Carli Bybel on YouTube when searching for a playlist to listen to whilst getting ready for a night out, and I came across her tutorial trying to recreate Jennifer Lopez’s makeup from her On the Floor music video and I’ve watched her ever since. I really love Carli’s videos, she comes across as genuine and humble even with 5.6 million subscribers and her makeup always looks incredible so I was excited when she announced she was collaborating with BH Cosmetics to create a palette. Carli originally created an eyeshadow and highlighter palette with BH Cosmetics which was so popular it crashed the BH Cosmetics website numerous times. Following the success of the original palette, Carli launched the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette which is a bigger version of the original palette and is only £22 and is available from Beauty Chamber.
BH Cosmetics have great value products but £22 is such a great price for the beautiful BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette with 15 eyeshadows and 6 highlighters. The palette is made from cardboard with a marble print design and is magnetic with a mirror within the lid.
If you’ve watched Carli for a long time, she has an obsession with penguins so I love that she’s included a cut little penguin icon on the spine of the palette which shows that she had input into the design of the palette rather than just sticking her name on a palette. It looks like such a pretty palette and even though it is made from cardboard, it feels well made and I like that it comes with a decent sized mirror.

How amazing are all of these swatches from the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette?! The first three photos shows the fifteen eyeshadows, and the fourth photo shows the six highlighters and I’m so surprised by the intense pigmentation of every shade within the palette. There aren’t any disappointing shades whatsoever and even the matte shades feel buttery and soft making them easy to blend. Each of the shades within the palette work out as being just £1.04 each which is crazy for such rich colour payoff.
The shadows include mattes, metallics and shimmers with a couple of duochrome shades too with a mixture of warm and cool tones for the shadows and highlighters. I really didn’t expect the shades to be so buttery and smooth, the metallic shades in particular glide over the skin/lids like a cream and looks as vivid on the skin as they do in the pans.
There’s no denying that the highlighters aren’t pale skin friendly as I can only use the 3rd and 4th shade but the rest work effectively as eyeshadows, and stunning shadows at that. It’s a fantastic palette for the price, and the quality of the shadows genuinely are on par with those from Makeup Geek.
I’d love to know if you’ve got the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette? Which is your favourite shade?
