Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum

Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum Review

It’s hard to believe that Charlotte Tilbury only started her beauty and skincare brand in 2013, as it’s already a globally loved beauty brand. Following the success of the Charlotte Tilbury makeup and skincare products, Charlotte created her very first fragrance after mixing her own secret scent for years and calls fragrance the “key to attraction” as a scent can attract others and also change the energy frequency of the people and environment around her.

The Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum launched in August 2016 and is derived from her own blend of essential oils from Ibiza’s hippie markets (Charlotte was born in Ibiza) that she has been using for over 30 years. Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes from the Charlotte Tilbury UK website.

The Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum is described as being the first of its kind floral-chypre perfume harmony which Charlotte calls “Fleurotic Frequency” – a scent pathway which attracts love, light, power, positivity and sex to the wearer. The bottle is absolutely beautiful and the type of bottle that belongs on a dressing table or vanity rather than being stored away, as it’s such a glamorous and feminine bottle.

There’s a lot of science behind the presentation of the potion- like bottle too as it’s inspired by a visual code that channels the power of the universe. The bottle has a rounded, flattened base with a starburst design of the glass with a rose gold Charlotte Tilbury ‘ribbon’ around the neck of the bottle, and an octahedron lid. It’s such a classic bottle design which you could imagine gracing the dressing table of 1930 beauty sirens, and even the box is beautiful with a rose gold foiled starburst effect.

Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum

Considering the bottle is so delicate and feminine, I expected the Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum to be somewhat of a light scent but it’s not at all delicate. It features top notes of lemon, peach, bergamot, mandarin, saffron and black pepper, an heart of tuberose, violet, jasmine, patchouli and incense. Finishing with a base of fire tree, hedoine, ambroxan and ISO-E super molecules.

As you can see from the many, many notes, Scent of a Dream is a rich and woody fragrance which boasts incredible sillage so you only need one spritz and it lasts all day on the skin, even longer on clothing. It smells so elegant and beautiful, and reminds me of the kind of fragrance my mum used to wear in the 90’s – a true timeless fragrance which would be a gorgeous gift for a female of any age this Christmas. I love it so much, and I love that I have nothing at all like it within my fragrance collection.

I’d love to know if you’ve tried the Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum?
