I always envied those in the US that could go into their local drugstores and purchase ELF products straight off the shelf as we in the UK were only able to purchase ELF online. Now ELF are available in Superdrug, it’s changed everything and I’m loving seeing more ELF reviews within my Bloglovin’ feed as they’re such an underrated brand in my opinion, and they deserve a lot more praise. The range of ELF products on the Superdrug website is pretty reasonable with 160 as I write this but they don’t have everything, but I’m crossing my fingers products such as the ELF Glow Shimmering Blush will make its way across the Atlantic as it’s only £3 for 6 grams of product.
For £3 you really can’t expect very much in the way of packaging but it’s actually not that bad and there’s even a rectangular mirror behind the brush which I never expected from such a budget friendly blusher. The brush is pretty pointless in all honesty but it’s remarkable one was even included alongside a mirror and 6g of blush. It’s not the kind of compact I’d be confident to carry in my makeup bag incase the thin plastic cracked but it’s not as cheap looking or feeling as the Makeup Revolution or MUA £1-£2 blushes and they don’t contain a brush or mirror either.
There are currently three different shades to choose from within the ELF Shimmering Blush range; Glow, Shy and Blushing, and I have the shade Glow which I really didn’t expect to like. In the pan Glow contains chunky golden glitter and I don’t do glittery blushes. On the cheeks however the shimmer somehow disappears and it imparts a pretty peachy shade with a subtle golden sheen to the cheeks. It’s not the longest wearing blush as it fades after four to five hours but you could improve the longevity by setting your makeup with a setting spray if you needed to and I can’t be too critical for a pretty, wearable blush that only costs £3.
Have you tried any of the ELF Shimmering Blushes before?
