PUR Cosmetics On Point Eyeliner and Lipliner Pencils

PUR Cosmetics On Point Eyeliner and Lipliner Pencils

I am obsessed with eyeliner and can’t wear makeup without wearing at least one type of eyeliner as it makes such a massive difference to my eyes. On my ‘no makeup’ makeup days I like to use a dark brown liner within the base of my lashes just to give a little more definition as my lashes are so sparse. Over the years I’ve tried endless eyeliners and have become pretty fussy with my eyeliner choices as I like my liner to be super creamy yet longlasting which is usually difficult to find as longer lasting liners tend to be quite firm. PUR Cosmetics launched a brand new range of PUR Cosmetics On Point Eyeliner and Lipliner Pencils and I was excited to try them as they’re self-sharpening which I’ve never seen before in a liner.

The PUR Cosmetics On Point Eyeliner Pencils £16 offer the precision of an eyeliner pen with their self sharpening feature within the lids, by twisting the pencil in direction of the arrow on the lid. The formula is described as being creamy and longlasting with 10+ hours of weartime as well as being waterproof.

The pencils are enriched with Lash Rejuvenation Complex, Ceramide III, and essential oils, this formula helps to prevent premature lash fallout and provides skin with needed moisture at the lash line without causing the formula to smudge or budge which is amazing.

There are four shades available within the UK which can be purchased from M&S; Rain, Heartless, Down to Earth and Not Sorry, whereas the US PUR website also has Hotline which is a metallic hunter green. Each of the PUR Cosmetics On Point Eyeliner Pencils are coloured to match the shade inside which is so handy when trying to find a specific shade without having to open multiple shades to find the one you’re looking for.

These pencils really are extremely creamy yet they’re nice and firm too so they glide across the eyelids and lashlines without dragging, but the pencil doesn’t crumble or wear down quickly, so you don’t have to sharpen them before every use.

The sharpener within the lid creates an amazingly precise, pointed nib which lends itself well for lining both the upper and lower lashlines, and you can really get into the base of your lashes. They don’t need warming up before use, and are intensely pigmented as soon as the lid is removed. They also deliver on the longevity claims as I don’t find that they smudge, fade or transfer whatsoever and I have to use an oil-based eye makeup remover to remove them. Whatsmore, they’ve been ocular tested and are safe for those with sensitive eyes.

Rain; a deep matte plum.

Heartless; an intense black matte.

Down to Earth; a dark chocolate brown.

Not Sorry; a dark grey.

The PUR Cosmetics On Point Lipliner Pencils £16 are available in a choice of four shades within the UK, and six in the US and I have two of the shades to swatch for you today. PUR Cosmetics describe the liners as being lip perfecting liners which glide easily across the lips and locks your lip colour in place to prevent any bleeding or feathering.

The long-wearing formula contains a plumping peptide that improves the appearance of the lips for a fuller, smoother looking pout. The packaging is the same for the lipliners as the eyeliners, except the lipliners have white packaging with coloured tips to reflect the shade inside with the same self-sharpening feature within the lids.

The two shades I have are; Power Trip and See Thru. Power Trip is a deep berry shade whereas See Thru is literally see through, and is designed to be a clear lipliner which works with any lip colour to seal the lipline. Power Trip isn’t as intensely pigmented as the eyeliners but I think that’s a positive as I don’t like my lipliners to be vivid as they’re harder to blend into my chosen lip colours.

Instead these liners can be built up in a couple of strokes to line the lips, or can be used to colour the lips entirely and they have a nice powdery finish so lipstick layers well over the top. Some lipliners can have the tendency to be a little waxy but these have the perfect finish, even the clear See Thru Liner.

I’d love to know if you’ve tried either the PUR Cosmetics On Point Eyeliners or Lipliners? Do you have a favourite shade?
