Boots has always been one of my favourite beauty haunts, which is why I chose to apply there for my first part time job whilst at school and I loved working there even if it involved spending hours stacking Christmas gift sets. The Boots 3 for 2 Christmas gift promotion is something they’ve done every single year for as long as I can remember, and I always look forward to the release of the Boots Christmas Gift Catalogue each year to see which gift sets they have to offer.
I have six gifts within my Boots Christmas Gift Guide 2017 so I figured I’d do my own Boots Christmas Gift Guide, but I’d recommend looking online or going instore as they have 1187 items included within their 3 for 2 offer which is crazy. You’re guaranteed to find the perfect gifts even if you’re doing a mad dash on Christmas Eve.
Johnny’s Chop Shop Superior Grooming Set £20
Kicking things off with one for the boys/men. I don’t know about you, but I find it really difficult to find decent gifts for males as Lynx just doesn’t cut it but the Johnny’s Chop Shop range looks like such a great option. I’d never even heard of Johnny’s Chop Shop before, but they’re described as being a breakthrough barbershop and male grooming brand that fuses 1950s and 1960s retro style and modern day trend. Boots stock a pretty decent selection of their products, with the Johnny’s Chop Shop Superior Grooming Set containing four of the products as well as an handy pocket comb.
The set includes; Born Lucky Shampoo with a shot of Conditioner 150ml, Soul Balm All Purpose Face Balm 75ml, The Freshman Face Wash 150ml and the Wild Cat Hair Clay 70g. The products are packaged within a large, pizza-style box which is easy to wrap and it’s a great way to introduce a potential new brand to the recipient. I really like the edgy branding of the product, and I think £20 is a really good price for four full size products and a comb.
Millie Mackintosh Couture Beauty Ultimate Beauty Collection £30
Does anyone else remember the Millie Mackintosh lashes?! They launched about four, maybe five years ago and everyone raved about them but they appear to be discontinued. Following the success of her lash line, Millie now has a beauty gifting range at Boots starting at £8.50 through to £30 which is this set. This metallic dusky pink, magnetic gift box opens up to reveal Millie’s ultimate edit of her signature favourites which all have the same dusky pink, rose gold and navy colour scheme which looks so sleek.
The set contains an eyeshadow quad, a black eyeliner pencil, a nude lipliner, a nude lip lacquer, a brow duo, a bronzing powder and a golden light face illuminator. I love that the products are all very wearable, and natural with a real emphasis on creating a natural, luminous makeup look and I can’t wait to try everything as the shades are so pretty, and very me.
Hype Fresh Stride Set £12.50
Fashion brand; Hype, now have their very own grooming and accessories range which will be ideal for any young males you need to buy for. This is the Hype Fresh Stride Set which contains a pair of Hype Black Socks (size UK 9-12), a body wash 150ml and a hair wash 150ml which is pretty good value in my opinion. There are a good selection of Hype sets to choose from depending on your budget but this would work nicely as a secret santa gift for a male too.
Superdrug Pop & Glow Professional Cheek Duo £10
If you have a younger female to buy for, the Superdry gift range might be worth a look as there are a number of makeup sets as well as bath/body sets too, all with the typically Superdry brightly coloured packaging. This is a set of two chunky cheek crayons with a Bronzer in Sunset Bronze and a Blusher in Coral Reef. I love a good cream blush or bronzer as they’re so quick and easy to apply so these would be a good option for your makeup bag or gym bag for when you want to touch up your makeup without having to reach for any brushes.
Lucy Mecklenburgh Gym Buddies Set £6
This is another gym bag option for teens from Lucy Mecklenburgh, and is a duo containing a Cooling Body Mist 50ml and a Nourishing Body Lotion 50ml which are scented with sparkling scents of citrus fruits, florals, with a spice of warm pink pepper. The scent is very subtle so I think it’s definitely aimed towards teens, but it’s a nicely presented set for just over £5.
Laura Ashley Royal Bloom Hand & Nail Cream £6
This is such a great item for only £6, and is a very generous 130ml tube of shea butter infused hand and nail cream. The packaging is really pretty, with a floral design on the outer box with a drawer like style insert which pulls out to reveal the floral designed tube inside. I can’t believe this is only £6 as hand cream can be pretty pricey, especially for a brand such as Laura Ashley. The hand cream is from the “royal bloom” collection and is delicately infused with natural rose, violet and jasmine oils for a subtle, soft floral scent whilst leaving the hands feeling nourished and super smooth.
So they are the products I have to share within my Boots Christmas Gift Guide. I’d love to know which is your favourite item? Are you finished with your gift buying yet? Let me know in the comments below…
