My favourite beauty brand of 2017 has to be without a doubt, ColourPop. I absolutely love every single product I’ve ever tried and I get so excited about every one of their new launches. I love how amazingly affordable their products are but the quality really is amazing, and they’re always launching something new so there’s always something to look forward to.
I have recommended ColourPop products to so many of my friends/readers and everyone that’s bought something on my recommendation has fallen in love with the brand too so if you are yet to try their products, I highly recommend you do as they’re such a fantastic brand. When the ColourPop Holiday Collection 2017 launched, I added everything to my wishlist as there are so many beautiful products to choose from.
ColourPop Holiday Collection 2017
ColourPop Luster Dust Loose Highlighters $7
“Our first ever loose highlighter! This finely-milled, soft powder packs a blinding punch with pearls and high shine particles. The velvety texture was formulated with multi-dimensional glitters to give you some sheen and some sparkle. A little goes a long way, so just a touch will have you glowing all day long.“
The new ColourPop Luster Dust Loose Highlighters are their newest launch and are available in three different shades. Each of the shades is packaged within a circular plastic pot, with a plastic sifter and 3 grams of product. Gnomie is the lightest shade and is described as a “soft champagne with silver glitter”, Aura Voir is a “golden peach with gold glitter” and Dew Drop is a “rich bronze with gold and silver glitter”. All three shades are incredible reflective and multidimensional, and they are the prettiest loose highlighters I’ve ever seen – I can’t believe they’re only $7 each.
I used to find loose highlighters a little intimidating as I wasn’t sure how best to apply them but I like to tip a little into the lid, and the sweep a little onto the skin with a fan brush. They work amazingly as eyeshadows too, especially if you use a dampened brush as it helps them to adhere to the skin a little easier. I’ve been asked a few times if they’re really messy, but as long as you keep them stored upright and don’t travel with them, they’re not messy at all. They aren’t as mess-free as a pressed highlighter that you simply sweep your brush over and dust over the skin, but the metallic finish you get with loose highlighters is worth the extra effort.
ColourPop Take Me Home Pressed Eyeshadow Palette $12
The ColourPop eyeshadows; both Super Shock and Pressed are incredible, and I would happily own the whole collection of their eyeshadows and only use them for the rest of my life if I had to as I love them so much. They’re only $5/$4 each but they’re better quality than MAC eyeshadows which are £10 each, and supposed to be of professional quality. The ColourPop Holiday Collection 2017 includes the Take Me Home Eyeshadow Palette is a mini palette of six neutral shadows, within a candy stripe design cardboard palette.
This palette contains six ColourPop’s bestselling warm toned shadows which is amazing as you’re getting $24 of eyeshadow for $12 (and it’s even $10 at the time of writing this which is even better value). The shades include four matte and two metallic shades, and the pigmentation is insane.
Each of these swatches are just two swipes without any primer, and they’ve totally blown me away. I think the mattes are the best quality matte eyeshadows I’ve ever tried, and I just can’t get my head around the fact this palette is only $10 right now. If you’ve never tried ColourPop before, let this palette be your first product to try as it’ll totally win you over.
ColourPop Gone Wishing Mini Ultra Matte Lip Collection $18
The Gone Wishing Ultra Matte Lip Collection contains five kissproof 0.64ml miniature sizes including brand new mattes from their holiday launch, and two exclusive shades to the kit (First Position and Needle + Thread). This is such a great set of shades as it has a nude, pink, red, berry and purple, and the tubes all have little stars on them as part of the holiday collection.
The Ultra Matte Lip formula is a lightweight, super matte and easy to apply, which dry down after a couple of minutes. They do have a slightly drying effect on the lips as they’re so matte but it’s nothing a little lipbalm won’t sort and they last for 5-6 hours on the lips before touch ups are needed.
There are lots more fabulous products within the ColourPop Holiday Collection 2017 which you can see here. I’d love to know which product is your favourite from this selection?
