Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo and Conditioner

Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo and Conditioner

Bumble and Bumble is a brand which featured in endless YouTube videos when I first started blogging, but they’re not spoken about as often anymore and I’m not entirely sure why. I’ve only tried a couple of Bumble and Bumble products myself but I’ve liked what I’ve tried so far. The Bumble and Bumble Surf range is a range I wasn’t sure would work for my hair type but I got two 60ml sizes of the Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo and Conditioner within a gift with purchase so it was the perfect oppurtunity to finally give them a try.

There are now five products within the Bumble and Bumble Surf collection and the purpose of the range is to add a beachy, undone look and texture to the hair with minimal effort. The Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo and Conditioner full sizes are 250ml each and are £20 – £22.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo

A clean-rinsing formula wipes out impurities and makes way for buoyant body and soft, sea-breezy texture. Designed for all hair types and textures, especially those looking for body, texture and enhanced natural waves to be used daily followed by the conditioner.”

Bumble and Bumble Surf Creme Rinse Conditioner

This lightweight conditioning rinse imparts airy softness and texture, again for those with all hair types and textures especially those looking for body, texture and enhanced natural waves. The directions are to use after the Surf Foam Wash Shampoo, smooth through and leave in for a minute or two. Rinse thoroughly. For nice waves, style with Surf Spray and air dry (in the sun) or diffuse.”

Even though I have the 60ml travel sizes, they lasted for over three weeks and the packaging is identical to that of the full sizes with an ocean inspired bottle design. I have waist length hair so I didn’t expect these bottles to last as long as they did but the shampoo lathers nicely and the conditioner spreads evenly through the hair so they’d be ideal sizes for a two week holiday. They both have a fresh, aquatic scent which doesn’t really linger in the hair but the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray’s scent lingers in the hair for a lot longer.

My hair is naturally wavy and if I leave it to air dry it’s very wavy so I thought this duo would be ideal to try to try and tame the frizz and make my waves a little more uniform and a little less reminiscent of a birds nest. My scalp and hair are very dry and I do find them to be very drying on my hair which is to be expected from a beachy hair shampoo and conditioner but I do find I need to apply a lot of leave in conditioner post-wash to remedy the dryness which I think negates the point of the Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo and Conditioner as it reduces the beachy, matte and textured look. Although these weren’t perfect for my hair, I appreciate that Bumble and Bumble is a great quality haircare brand and will try one of their ranges which is better suited for drier hair types.

I’d love to know if you have any Bumble and Bumble product recommendations?
