I’ve professed my love for ColourPop many times here on my blog, but I love that they frequently collaborate with YouTubers for exciting new collections. They’re always on trend and always very affordable, and it’s a great way to be able to support your favourite YouTuber. Lots of brands do collaborations, but they often up the prices to take advantage of their subscribers and customers but ColourPop never do that. One of the newest launches is the ColourPop Laura Lee x NKLA Collaboration, which is a really special one as they’ve teamed up with No Kill LA, with all net profits from the purchase of these products will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society, a leading national animal welfare organisation dedicated to ending the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters.
The ColourPop Laura Lee x NKLA Collaboration consists of the NKLA x Laura Lee Foursome $18 containing four Super Shock Shadows, as well as three lip products; an Ultra Glossy Lip, an Ultra Satin Lip and an Ultra Metallic Lip. The shades within the collection are all so beautiful, but even if they weren’t I’d totally recommend purchasing them as it’s such an amazing cause. I bought the ColourPop Puppy Love shadow last year, which was part of the same NKLA collaboration and they’ve relaunched Puppy Love and Cat Nap again this year, if the shades within the Laura Lee foursome don’t tempt you.
ColourPop Laura Lee x NKLA Foursome
You can purchase the foursome of four Super Shock Shadows for $18, or you can purchase the individual shades for $5 and I like that they’re giving us the choice with this collection so you could just purchase one or two shades if you don’t want all four. Obviously by purchasing the Foursome, you’re saving $2 than if you were to purchase them individually and when purchasing them in the Foursome, you get the pretty floral packaging. The four Laura Lee x ColourPop Super Shock Shadows are;
Ritz: Sheer nude with silver glitter/sparkle.
Glitz: Matte warm rose.
Shiny: Matte soft rust.
Hiney: Icy pink with multi-dimensional glitter.
I am so in love with all four of these shades, and they complement eachother amazingly. I really like that Laura has chosen two matte shades and two multidimensional glittery shades, enabling you to create a multitude of looks and they’re all very Laura shades, if like me you watch her videos. My favourite shade would have to be Ritz as it’s got almost a khaki duochrome shift to it which works beautifully when layered over any other eyeshadow colour as an eyeshadow topper whereas Glitz and Shiny are perfect transition shades when using Hiney on the lid.
ColourPop Laura Lee x NKLA Ultra Lip Colours
ColourPop did offer the three shades within the collaboration as a lip bundle but that set has since sold out, but don’t fret as you can still purchase all three shades individually for $6 each, and the net profits again will be donated to the cause. The trio includes three different ColourPop Ultra Lip formulas; Glossy, Metallic and Satin, and the three shades complement the eyeshadows fantastically well.
For the ColourPop Laura Lee x NKLA Collaboration, the three lip colours all have limited edition packaging and I love it when ColourPop do that. Each of the tubes have a metallic rose gold lid with rose gold little paw prints, and roses on the tubes which is just so cute and a fab nod to the roses belonging to the Laura Lee Los Angeles’ branding, which is Laura Lee’s own beauty brand. The three lip colours are;
Wham: Ultra Glossy Lip – Champagne nude metallic with silver glitter.
Bam: Ultra Satin Lip – Red Berry.
Glam: Ultra Metallic Lip – True Rose Gold.
I am so in love with the promotional shots Laura did for this collaboration, and you can see the three lip colours being worn in the photos here to get an idea of how they’d look on the lips. Laura looks so beautiful, and all three shades really are beautiful. My favourite would have to be Wham as it’s a translucent nude shade which is loaded with the prettiest sparkle to add dimension and depth to any lip colour, and it looks amazing when worn alone too. Bam is a suit all, deep berry shade and Glam is the prettiest metallic lip colour I’ve ever seen, it’s just so gorgeous.
If you’ve never been tempted to try ColourPop before, let it be this ColourPop Laura Lee x NKLA Collaboration be your first try as it’s a truly amazing collection but most importantly, you’re helping to save dogs and cats across America.
