Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks

Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks Review and Swatches

I featured Feral Cosmetics here on my blog back in October where I reviewed and swatched their five shades of Liquid Matte Lipsticks, and five shades of Ultra Satin Lipsticks. Feral Cosmetics is a Los Angeles based, cruelty free and vegan beauty brand with just the two types of lip product, but I hope they extend their product range soon as they’re such great products. All of the Feral Cosmetics lip products can be found on Beauty Chamber and they’re all £14.95 each. For 2018 there are three new shades of the Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks which I have to show you today, but if you’d like to see the swatches of all their existing shades please see my Feral Cosmetics swatch post.

The Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks are packaged within clear plastic tubes, with metallic silver lids and the tubes feel pretty luxurious for the price. The applicator is a typical doefoot, and they all have a subtle yet pleasant vanilla scent which I personally really like although the scent disappears once the lipsticks have dried down on the lips. Feral Cosmetics describe the formula of their Liquid Matte Lipsticks as being creamy, smooth, fully opaque and they dry completely matte with a lightweight, touch-proof finish. A lot of matte liquid lipsticks I’ve tried tend to have a thick consistency such as the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks but the formula of the Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks is considerably thinner.

The three new shades are; Home Wrecker, Skin Tight and Berry Sexy. Home Wrecker is a little lighter in the tube than it is on the lips and is a deep red shade which looks a little orange in the tube but I don’t notice any orange tones on my lips. I have very pale pink lips so I think the orange tone might be a little more prominent on deeper, warmer toned lips but it’s a beautiful red regardless.

Skin Tight is a warm beige nude and is a great addition to the shade range as the existing nude shades were all pink toned so this is great option for those that prefer a warmer nude. I do find that this particular shade is a little too warm for my skintone so I do prefer to layer it over a light pink lip liner such as Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk just to make it a little more flattering and I think it looks amazing on my pale lips when worn over the liner.

Berry Sexy is a lovely deep berry shade which again applies a little darker than the shade within the tube. In the tube it looks like a deep pink shade, but when on the lips it’s more of a deep berry shade but it’s such a perfect shade for Winter if you love a berry toned lip, and I like to lighten it slightly by mixing a tiny amount of Skin Tight with my fingertip. As the formula is so thin, they’re really easy to mix together so you can customise your lip colour.

If you are a matte liquid lipstick fan, I really recommend trying the Feral Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks as the formula ticks all the boxes; it’s longlasting, comfortable on the lips, easy to apply, nicely scented, not at all chalky or drying and I’ve never experienced any bleeding or feathering even with the darker, bolder shades. My favourite shade from the three new shades would have to be Skin Tight as I love a nude lip, but I think the three new shades are all very welcome additions to the collection and I’d love to see them launch a pale pink similar to Stila’s Perla next.

I would love to know which shade is your favourite from the three new shades? If you wish to purchase anything from Feral Cosmetics, you can do so on Beauty Chamber.
