Giorgio Armani are one of my absolute favourite brands and I’m always excited by their new launches, especially their limited edition launched with special edition packaging. The Giorgio Armani Chinese New Year Palette launched on the 26th of December to commemorate the Chinese New Year.
Giorgio Armani launch one of this Highlighting Face Palettes to mark the Chinese New Year each year with 2018 celebrating the year of the dog, with past designs celebrating the year of the rooster as well as the year of the monkey. The Giorgio Armani Chinese New Year Illuminating Palette is £60 and available from the Giorgio Armani website for a limited time.
“To celebrate the Year of the Dog, Giorgio Armani introduces the Chinese New Year highlighter powder palette. This loveable character from the Chinese zodiac marks the start of a festive year full of love and light. The Dog gathers the best traits of human nature: he is loyal, honest, smart and sociable. Boasting a cute and beautiful design, the palette contains a satin like nude tinted pressed powder, embossed with an image of a dog.
Specially formulated to enhance your complexion, this pressed highlighter powder leaves a matte, natural, and transparent veil over the skin. The universal shade flatters all skin tones, highlighting the skin’s even complexion and reflecting light thanks to its weightless texture. Includes an applicator brush to achieve the signature Armani Glow.“
The Giorgio Armani Chinese New Year Palette is packaged within a stunning red lacquered case, inspired by the Middle Kingdom traditional colours featuring a scarlet red lid (the colour of happiness and good fortune) and an ultra chic jet black lower section. On the top of the case there are two golden foil Chinese characters which stand for fortune and luck, and there’s a super soft domed face brush in a compartment below the powder which is amazing quality and applies the powder to the skin beautifully.
The powder is very finely milled with a matte finish which works well as a finishing powder, but I prefer to use it on my cheeks, and the centre of my face as it does contain shimmer particles which makes the skin glow.
The Earth Dog design within the powder is amazing, and I’m ensuring I use my brush on the outer perimeter of the compact so I can try and preserve the dog design for as long as possible. The domed brush is very narrow so it makes it easier to avoid the dog design, but I like that the design is relatively deep within the powder so it wouldn’t disappear for a considerably long time even with frequent use. This is such a stunning compact which I am delighted to own, and I love using it for whenever I want my makeup to look a little more special, and as it’s limited edition you’ll have to move fast as it’ll definitely sell out soon.
I’d love to know your thoughts on the Giorgio Armani Chinese New Year Palette?
