I’m not entirely sure how we’re mid January already, but sure enough it’s time for the Glossybox January 2018 box contents reveal. The Glossybox theme this month looks as if it’s a loose one, aimed at self care and looking after our complexions following the festivities of Christmas so let’s see what’s inside the box…
Glossybox January 2018 Contents
Beauty Beneath Supplements 60 Capsules (worth £39.99)
We all know size isn’t everything when it comes to beauty, but this box is flipping massive for a beauty box and it contains 60 capsules which is a full month’s supply. I can’t believe this one product alone is worth £39.99, but it’s the best item in the box in my opinion. You take two capsules every day for 30 days and each capsule is said to be packed with a complex of 19 nutrients essential for glowing, healthy skin.
The nutrients work to boost your own collagen production, fading fine lines and wrinkles whilst leaving the skin softer than ever. If you’re able to take supplements such as these they sound like a great way to give your skin a boost, but it does say it takes four weeks to notice any benefit so it’s going to be quite costly should you decide to buy these on a monthly basis.
Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil (15ml travel size worth £27.50)
This is the only brand I recognise within this month’s box but I’ve never tried any of their products before. This oil is packed with skin enriching minerals and vitamins which work together to rejuvenate, renew and protect the complexion. The Moroccan Rose is a potent source of vitamin A and C as well as antioxidants essential for protecting against free radicals. Plus Almond Oil which deeply moisturises and nourishes skin, whilst brightening the complexion for brighter fresh looking skin.
Nail Medic Nail and Cuticle Energizer (worth £5.99)
I’ve never heard of this brand before but this is a reparative oil for the nails and cuticles containing a blend of vitamins, plant extracts, eucalyptus and lavender to help brittle nails, split cuticles and dry skin. You simply massage a few drops into the your nail bed and surrounding cuticles for instant hydration and stronger nails. I like the idea of it having a bi-phase formula but I look forward to giving it a try as I hate the look and feel of dry cuticles.
Apicia Cream Blush (worth £22)
This cream blush contains 99.7% of ingredients of a natural origin and is rich in bee pollen to nourish the skin. It’s a deep honey pink hue which claims to suit all skintones. I’ve never heard of Apicia before but it looks like they’re a French natural and organic cosmetics brand, and I really like their packaging.
Evelyn Iona Cosmetics Green Tea Primer (20ml worth £22)
The last product within the Glossybox January 2018 box is this primer which is supposedly a full size even though it only contains 20ml of product. It’s said to be packed with moisturising ingredients including avocado oil and green tea extract to nourish and protect the complexion whilst reducing the appearance of fine lines and large pores. It’s cruelty free and paraben free too. I’ve never heard of this brand before either it looks like it’s a small, natural and organic US based beauty brand.
So they are all of the items inside the Glossybox January 2018 box. There’s absolutely no doubt that the value is great this month as the products are worth £117.48, but I’m just not excited by any of the products inside the box as I’m definitely more of a makeup fan. If you love skincare then I imagine this box will be a big hit.
One of the reasons I loved Glossybox so much was that they included well known popular brands, but their last few boxes have been mainly lesser known brands. I’d love to know your thoughts? What do you prefer in your beauty boxes?
