Beauty confession time… until trying the Iconic London Complete Eye Set Brush Set, I’d never tried anything from Iconic London before. Iconic London are such a hyped up beauty brand, especially on Instagram but I just had never taken the plunge and tried any of their products before.
I’ve lusted after many of their products as I’ve read a lot of rave reviews but I just didn’t really know where to begin, so I decided the best place to start would be one of their makeup brush sets. Iconic London are now available at Cult Beauty with both their makeup and brush ranges, and I chose the Iconic London Complete Eye Set as it looked like an amazing eye makeup brush set. The Iconic London Complete Eye Set is £40 and contains seven full size makeup brushes as well as a beautiful brush bag.
The Iconic London Complete Eye Set Brush Set is available in two colour options; rose gold and black, which is the set that I own as well as as a cream and cold set. The brushes are all cruelty free and vegan, and the pouch really is amazing. It has a faux Saffiano leather effect with a solid structure and soft edges to keep the contents fully protected with a super shiny chunky rose gold zip.
I can imagine paying £10-£15 for a brush pouch of this quality, so it’s fantastic to get the pouch as well as seven high quality brushes for £40 as it works out at just £5.71 per brush without even considering the luxury brush pouch. I am going to use mine as a makeup bag for my handbag, but it’s so sleek you could even get away with using it as clutch bag.
Large Shader: Uniformly cover the whole lid with product. Apply cream shadow base or cream shadow for quick and even coverage.
Eye Shader: Even application of colour. Place colour across the whole lid for an even and strong application of product.
Medium Angled Shader: Soft application of colour. Use for brow highlighting or to blend the crease.
Tapered Blending Bush: Using just the tips to apply colour, sweep back and forth through the crease for a blended finish.
Pencil Brush: Soften and smoke out lines. Soften pencil liners along the top and bottom lash lines, add shadow to line the eyes, or use to highlight inner corner of eyes.
Small Angle Brush: Creates precise eyeliner. Moves fluidly and easily across the upper and lower lash lines. Use with gel, cream or powder liners.
Eyeliner Brush: Create smooth and even lines. Use with gel or liquid liners.
Until now my favourite brand for makeup brush sets has been Zoeva, but the quality of these Iconic London brushes is far superior which I never expected. Each of the brushes within this Iconic London Complete Eye Set have a black, rubberised coated wooden handle with a shiny rose golden ferrule.
I love the rubberised coating on the handles as it makes them so tactile and comfortable to use, and I can’t recall using any other brushes with a rubberised coating such as this. The brushes are so accurately cut with no loose bristles or shedding through use/washing, and they do an amazing job at applying my eyeshadow. I am dying to try more from Iconic London after loving this set so much, and I’m totally kicking myself for not trying Iconic until now.
