Real Techniques is my favourite budget brush brand as the majority of their brushes are affordable and they wash and wear very well. My current favourite brushes from their range is the Real Techniques Brush Crush range and Real Techniques Multi Tech range, but when I spotted that Superdrug had the Real Techniques Fresh Face Favourites Brush Set on offer for £7.49 I had to snap it up. The Real Techniques Fresh Face Favourites Brush Set is a limited edition set of brushes which are designed to help you create a natural, flawless look and contains three full size makeup brushes as well as some makeup sponges.
The Real Techniques Fresh Face Favourites Brush Set includes; BB/CC Brush, the Contour Brush, the Detailer Brush and Wedge Sponges, and this set particularly appealed to me as I loved the special metallic orange striped design of the brushes.
The Real Techniques BB/CC Brush has large, firm brushes which are angled to lightly and evenly apply BB/CC cream for a dewy and natural finish. The Real Techniques Contour Brush is a soft, fluffy and tapered brush which works well for the application for bronzers, blushes and powder to enhance your natural radiance and the Real Techniques Detailer Brush is precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas.
The sponges within the set didn’t really appeal to me as I prefer a rounded beauty beauty sponge but I still gave them a try as they were included within the set. I do think that Real Techniques should have put their Miracle Complexion Sponge inside this kit as they’ve called it the “Real Techniques Fresh Face Favourites Brush Set” and they recommend the Miracle Complexion Sponge everywhere for applying base makeup.
These sponges are very basic and I’ve bee using them for concealer, but for the three brushes alone I think £7.49 is an amazing price so make sure you snap it up ASAP online if you want it as a Real Techniques base brush costs around £9.99 – £11.99 so £7.49 for three is fantastic value.
I’d love to know if you’ve got this set?
