The Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream is a product which featured in many beauty favourites videos on YouTube during 2017, and I finally tried it for myself alongside the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian 4 Play Shower Gel and Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Lip Butter and it was love at first use.
Sometimes you see/hear a product mentioned over and over and assume it’s just hype and the product rarely lives up to the hype but for me the Sol de Janeiro products really do live up to the hype and I’m a massive, massive fan so I was delighted to see the range had been extended. As well as an amazing foot cream, the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream (£15 Cult Beauty) is one of the newest launches and I couldn’t wait to give it a try.
I have an obsession when it comes to hand cream as I love to apply it throughout the day as I hate my hands to feel dry, so I’m quite fussy with what I do and don’t like with hand creams. I hate my hands to feel greasy and once I’ve massaged my hand cream into my hands, I don’t want to have to wait for ten minutes before I can use my hands but again I want an handcream which offers enough nourishment that I don’t have to keep reapplying everytime I wash my hands.
“Meet your Brazilian secret to an irresistible touch. Every contact is magic with our Cheirosa ’62 signature fragrance, as notes of pistachio and salted caramel set the tone for seduction. Hands are so soft that, with a simple touch, you will have them begging for more.
Cupuaçu Butter helps to hydrate and nourish, while Açaí, known for its anti-oxidant rich benefits, is your Brazilian Beauty Secret to keep hands young and playful forever. Conditioning Coconut Oil protects your beautiful manicure as cuticles are left moisturized and manageable. Plus, selenium-rich Brazil Nut fuels protein enzymes to keep nails long and strong. Your hands and nails are ready to touch- and be touched- all day, every day.”
The Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream has a thick butter consistency just like the Bum Bum Cream and as the scent is identical, I expected it to be an extremely rich hand cream as the Bum Bum Cream is extremely rich. The hand cream feels very rich as soon as you squeeze it from the tube, but it melts into the skin amazingly well with absolutely no greasiness or residue.
If anything it feels like it dissolves into water as it feels so lightweight which I believe is down to the coconut oil, but even though it’s very lightweight it doesn’t compromise on nourishment and it has the same delectable scent which I simply cannot get enough of. If you love the Sol de Janeiro scent, and like a conditioning yet lightweight handcream, the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream needs to be on your wishlist.
Have you tried anything from Sol de Janeiro before? Do you have a favourite hand cream?!
