YSL Dazzling Lights Collection

YSL Dazzling Lights Collection - Review and Swatches - YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks and YSL Touche Eclat

When it comes to beautiful packaging, YSL are my favourite brand as their stunning gold metallic packaging is just so luxurious so I was extremely excited when YSL launched their Dazzling Lights collection as YSL have used a special edition glittery design. The YSL Dazzling Lights Collection is a limited edition collection which launched over Christmas and although the packaging is covered in glitter, it’s not an overly festive design but I absolutely love the beautiful pink starburst glitter design which adorns the products within the collection.

The YSL Dazzling Lights collection consists of four products; Dazzling Lights Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks, Dazzling Lights Makeup Palette, Dazzling Lights La Laque Couture Nail Polishes and Dazzling Lights Touche Eclats, and I have three products from the collection to show you today.

YSL Dazzling Lights Touche Eclat £25

Within this collection there are three different shades to choose from; Rose Lumière, Ivoire Lumière and Pêche Lumière and I have the shade Rose Lumière which couldn’t be a more perfect shade for my skintone. I’ve always purchased the shade “1” for whenever I’ve bought the YSL Touche Eclat and it’s worked for me, but Rose Lumière is such a better match.

I remember when there was just one shade available to choose from, but now with the original packaging there are an impressive 11 shades and I like that the Dazzling Lights collection has three different shades within the special edition glittery packaging. Rose Lumière is an amazing luminous, peachy pink shade which not only counteracts under-eye darkness, it also helps to highlight too whilst being lightweight without creasing or clinging to any dry patches.

The iconic Touche Éclat, effortless luminosity and radiance at the click of a pen. The beauty essential is now a glamorous make-up accessory in this limited edition makeover with three sparkling fireworks adorning the outer casing. Use to add a touch of light or to help banish shadows and signs of fatigue from the eye area, the hollow of the chin, the contour of the lips and the sides of the nose. Apply on bare skin or over make-up, then blend with the fingertips for instant radiance and freshness.

YSL Dazzling Lights Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks £28

The YSL Rouge Pur Couture packaging was already stunning, but add a pretty pink glittery firework design and I’m smitten. Not only have YSL gone to the effort of making the lipstick casing beautiful, they’ve also carried the theme through to the lipstick bullet too which I love so much. I only own one of the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks in the shade 52 Rosy Coral so I’m delighted to have two more shades in my collection. Within the Dazzling Lights collection, YSL have included six shades; 1 Le Rouge, 9 Rose Stiletto, 13 Le Orange, 19 Le Fuchsia, 52 Rouge Rose and 70 Le Nu, and I have the shades 52 Rouge Rose and 1 Le Rouge.

52 Rouge Rose is a bright pinky coral shade which I love so much. Pinks and corals are my favourite lipstick shades, so this shade couldn’t be more perfect for me and this swatch is just two swipes so it’s extremely pigmented and opaque. 1 Le Rouge is the shade Cara Delevigne wore in the YSL Rouge Pur Couture campaign with the tagline “the rouge that dresses me” and I fell in love with the shade at first sight as it’s a dramatic, intense and statement red.

The Rouge Pur Couture formula is one of my favourites as it’s creamy and comfortable, yet longlasting too without being matte. If you wanted a longwearing bold lip colour, you’d typically have to go for a matte lipstick but this formula lasts for five to six hours on the lips before I need to touch-up and they have a beautiful shine too.

What do you think of the beautiful YSL Dazzling Lights Collection? Which is your favourite lipstick shade?
