Whenever Kiehls launches a new product, my interest is piqued as I’ve developed such a love for many of the Kiehls products with the Kiehls Cucumber Conditiong Cleanser being my current go-to cleanser for when my skin’s feeling particularly dry. The Kiehls Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate is one of their bestselling products, and it’s been recently upgraded to include an impressive 12.5% Vitamin C and I couldn’t wait to smother my face with it.
“Kiehl’s original anti-ageing Vitamin C serum, Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, now with 12.5% Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid.
Now formulated with even more Vitamin C, Dermatologist Solutions™ Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate incorporates 10.5% L-Ascorbic Acid and 2% Ascorbyl Glucoside. In addition to Vitamin C, this anti-ageing serum now includes Hyaluronic Acid. The formula helps reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles while helping to improve the feel of skins texture. Skin looks radiant and feels smoother. This Vitamin C serum is carefully-formulated to provide clinically-proven results in a concentration gentle enough for sensitive skin.
- Clinically-demonstrated to boost skins radiant look whilst visibly reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
- Improves the feel of skin texture and minimizes the appearance of pores.
- Carefully-formulated for all skin types, even sensitive skin.
- Kiehl’s Cool Fact: Our chemists stabilized 10.5% Pure Vitamin C in a water-free formula more than 13 years ago. Now, our formula includes 12.5% Vitamin C along with Hyaluronic Acid.”
The Kiehls Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate 12.5% Vitamin C £49.50 is a new launch, but the reviews on the Kiehls website are amazing with currently 370 reviews totalling 4.6 out of five which definitely made me excited to give it a try as that’s a lot of happy customers. When a brand revamps a much loved product it’s always a risk as it has big boots to fill but I actually prefer the new Vitamin C enriched formula over the original and it would appear a lot of Kiehls customers agree. With the original formula I found I only ever needed to use a grain of rice sized amount of product, but I actually find this version to be even richer. The pump on the bottle is great as it gives you a good amount of control, so I can dispense only a tiny amount without any wastage.
The directions are to apply morning and night to cleansed skin all over the face (avoiding the eye area), and it’s normal to experience a feeling of warmth as the formula blends into the skin. I’ve not experienced any warm sensations but it absorbs easily providing I apply the smallest amount and I like to concentrate on my dehydration lines, and the areas where wrinkles will appear such as my forehead and smile lines. Sometimes I do experience a very subtle tingle sensation if my skin’s feeling particularly sensitive, but never uncomfortably so. I always like to put skincare through its paces before posting about it but I noticed an improvement in my skin in just one use, as my skin felt instantly softened and I noticed an improvement in the radiance of my skin in just seven days.
I’ve really made a concious effort to introduce more vitamin C infused skincare products into my regime, and I have been thoroughly enjoying using it within my routine. It is a pricier skincare product but this 30ml bottle will last me for at least five months if it’s anything like my first bottle of the original formula, and I envisage it lasting even longer than the original as I find it to have a richer formulation. Kiehls counters are always super friendly and approachable so I’d really recommend asking to give it a try instore if you’re on the fence as I think you’ll fall in love with the formula from the very first try and I love how radiant and clear my skin is looking since I introduced it to my skincare routine.
Have you ever tried the Kiehls Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate 12.5% Vitamin C or the original formula before?!
