Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2018

It’s officially Mother’s Day in just over two weeks if you’re in the UK which I feel as come round very quickly this year. I know Mother’s Day is celebrated a little later in the US as it’s the 13th of May, but for us in the UK it’s on Sunday the 11th of March so I decided I wanted to do a little Mother’s Day gift guide of gift ideas which would make for gorgeous gifts. I’ve done a mainly beauty centric gift guide with a couple of accessory options depending on what your mum (step mum/nan/grandma or any other significant female in your life that you’d like to treat) likes.

1 – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette. This is one of my all time favourite eyeshadow palettes especially when I’m lacking inspiration for my eye makeup as the shades all work wonderfully together for quick and easy looks. I think this palette would make a great gift for Mother’s Day as the shades would suit any skintone, and the Too Faced palettes all come with a little booklet with step by step guides on how to create a few looks. The pigmentation is fantastic and the shades are all so wearable that it’d work well for a makeup addict through to a makeup newbie plus the chocolate scent of the shadows is amazing.

2 – Olivia Burton 3D Bee Rose Gold Ladies Watch. Oh my gosh I am in love with this watch. Have you ever seen a prettier watch dial?! I reckon any of the Olivia Burton watches would make for stunning gifts as they’re all presented so beautifully, and they’re so pretty and elegant. I just love the raised bee design within the dial as well as the rose gold mesh strap, I just know my mum would love this as she’s always loved bees and I want this watch myself never mind as a gift idea for someone else.

3 – YSL Luxurious Mascara. I always think Mother’s Day, birthdays and Christmas are the perfect opportunities to gift a loved one their favourite beauty product as they’re guaranteed to like it and it saves them from having to repurchase it themselves. The YSL Luxurious Mascara is my mum’s favourite mascara of all time (mine is the YSL Effet Faux Cils Mascara so we have similar tastes) and I know this would be very well received on Mother’s Day plus the gold metal packaging is such luxurious and giftable too.

4 – Links of London Rose Gold Pave Earrings. My mum has a few pieces from Links of London so I know she’ll be thrilled to unwrap a Links of London gift box come Mother’s Day, especially as they wrap their gift boxes so beautifully with a ribbon too. These are so simple but that’s exactly what my mum likes for earrings, if your mum likes more ornate earrings, Links of London has lots of other designs to choose from and their jewellery is always amazingly sparkly too.

5 – Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Shine Lipsticks. I featured a selection of the Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Shine Lipsticks on my blog previously and I love the formula so much as they’re balmy and comfortable on the lips. If I was going to select one shade which I know my mum would like, it would have to be Nuda 101 as it’s the prettiest nude shade and she complemented me when I wore it so I made sure I remembered so I could get her, her very own.

6 – Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo and Conditioner. I never spend a lot on my shampoo and conditioner as my hair works well with even budget options, but this duo are without a doubt the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used and I’d love to treat my mum to them as they are so incredible. They make my hair feel so bouncy, soft and nourished and the beautiful scent lasts in my hair until the next day and I just know she’d love them as they’re such a treat.

7 – Gucci Marmont Textured Leather Wallet. You can’t scroll through your Instagram feed without seeing Gucci everywhere right now, as everyone is loving their bags and wallets and I personally want this wallet for myself. I don’t own any Gucci bags or purses but I totally want one, and this little wallet is just beautiful and would be ideal for carrying my cards and notes as I carry my coins in a separate coin purse and would give me more room in my handbag as the purse I currently use is massive. I just love the textured leather, and I think any mum would be delighted with wallet as it’s something they’d use everyday.
