Spring Homeware Additions and Wishlist

Spring Homeware Additions and Wishlist

Regular readers are probably sick of mentioning how happy I am to not have a beauty based blog name anymore, as it allows me to feature whatever I want here on my blog rather than feeling restricted by beauty. I am currently in the midst of revamping my bedroom so I wanted to share my spring homeware additions as well as a mini homeware wishlist of items I’m currently lusting after. The walls of my bedroom used to be a light grey colour which I found to be a little too dark for my liking, so we’re in the midst of making the walls white which I know is extremely boring but it gives you so much freedom with decor and furnishing as everything goes with white. We still need to decide on a new mattress and bed frame, but the furnishings are the fun part.

The first item is incredibly difficult to photograph as it’s absolutely massive so my photos could never do it justice. It’s the most amazingly soft throw I’ve ever felt, and it’s a lovely chocolate colour. I spend ages pinning beautiful offices over on Pinterest, but I personally prefer to blog on my laptop curled up on the sofa or bed and I am always cold so a fluffy throw is a necessity and my current throw is pretty small so this massive Cuddly Fleece Throw in a 200 x 240cm size is a serious upgrade. There are seven shades to choose from too which I thought was pretty good, and I opted for the Chocolate shade but the Blush shade was very tempting. I cannot believe how fluffy this throw is, it’s just so cosy and warm and perfect for these icy evenings and I think £20 for such a massive, thick and cosy throw is an amazing price as it’d cover a king size bed.

I came across this next item by accident when on the page for my third and final item which is a bedding set as it was draped across the bedding and I just knew I had to have it as it matched the bedding set so amazingly. This is the Shells Velvet Quilted Throw £40 which is available in two shades; Amethyst and Kingfisher, and it was Kingfisher I had to have and Kingfisher is the perfect name for the colour. This throw is 150 x 200cm and one side is a beautiful teal velvet, and the underside is a teal cotton with both sides having an embroidered shells design. I cannot rave about this throw enough.. it’s the most stunning shade, and it makes me want a teal theme for my whole room as I love it so much and it looks amazing on the bed as a throw. I must also comment on the different colours of the throw in the two photos, but as it’s velvet it does look different in different lights but the truest to colour is the second photo as the plastic case makes it look considerably darker.

The bedding set in question which was pictured alongside the teal throw is this super pretty Freya 100% Cotton Duvet Set which couldn’t be a more perfect match for the throw, and I knew I needed them both. I didn’t expect very much from this bedding set but it’s the softest cotton bedding set I’ve ever felt, and I adore the digital floral print which has injected some much-needed spring vibes in the room. I really like that the duvet cover and pillowcases both have a luxurious magenta piped detailing, and the duvet cover is reversible too with a plain textured teal side but I much prefer the floral design.

1 – Woodwick Sweetheart Eclipse Candle – I’ve seen so much buzz about Woodwick candles but I’m yet to try one myself. They all have wooden wicks which when lit have a crackling log fire sound which sounds amazing, and this heart design is so pretty, and the bakery cupcake scent couldn’t sound more delicious for a candle.

2 – Botanical Quote Canvases – No Pinterest-worthy bedroom is complete without some sort of quote wall art, and I really like these floral and gold canvases as they’d suit my decor perfectly. They’re so pretty and I love the idea of a canvas rather than a print as they don’t need framing.

3 – Chalkboard Copper Tray – How amazing is this chalkboard tray?! It has little copper baskets as well a copper clip for holding paperwork, and I think it would be perfect to help keep me organised with my blog and I would love to be able to use the chalkboard for writing things down too. I think £25 is pretty decent too!

4 – Voluspa Crane Flower Candle – Another candle but I can’t help it, I’m obsessed with candles. This is such a stunning candle from the box to the jar, and I would definitely reuse the jar as it’s beautiful. I’m not entirely sure what crane flower smells like but I know I need it and I need to try Voluspa candles as they’re so hyped within the bloggersphere but the scent features notes of paradise nectar, ripe grapefruit, geranium and lavender.

5 – Floor Standing Crystal Mirror – I currently don’t have a mirror in my main bedroom which seriously needs remedying, and I love this floor length mirror with crystals around the outside as I bet they’d really catch the light.

I’d love to know if you’ve bought any new homeware recently? Do you like anything I’ve featured?
