Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter Review and Swatches

Anastasia Beverly Hills collaborated with Amrezy back in 2014 to create an eyeshadow palette which is was a massive success, so it was very exciting news when Amrezy announced she was collaborating with Anastasia Beverly Hills once again. Amrezy is absolutely stunning and her skin always looks incredible and extremely glowy so it makes perfect sense that the new collaboration was for an highlighter, and what an highlighter it is.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter has been all over YouTube for the last month or so, and for good reason.. it’s absolutely beautiful and I knew I wanted it when it launched on Cult Beauty, but I was worried it wouldn’t suit my skintone. I love the Anastasia Beverly Hills Starlight Highlighter which I also bought from Cult Beauty, but for some crazy reason ABH decided to discontinue their Illuminators and I’ve been gutted ever since.

Amrezy has the most gorgeous complexion but her skintone is considerably darker than mine as she uses the Kylie Concealer in ‘Maple’ which is the ‘Tan’ range of shades, and my shade would be ‘Pearl’ within the Fair range so I knew there was a massive possibility the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter would be too dark for me – but the heart wants what it wants.

I hate it when makeup is limited edition as it makes me nervous incase you fall in love with a product and won’t be able to replace it but the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter is limited edition and is showing as out of stock on the Cult Beauty website right now so keep checking back incase it comes back.. fingers crossed it does as it’s such an amazing highlighter.

“The limited edition Amrezy Highlighter is an illuminating powder that achieves the perfect glow. With the feel of second-skin, this ultra-smooth formula delivers a radiant finish and reflects a light, brilliant gold.

“I live for the perfect glow-it’s a constant focus in my makeup routine. I’m always looking for the most luminous glow with a natural, second skin finish. This collaboration with ABH brings my highlighter dreams to life, and I’m so happy to share this “sun in a compact” with my Rezy riders.”

I normally only ever include one swatch photo when reviewing products but I had to include a photo of swatches using my fingertips like I do with absolutely every powder product, but also with a brush as the finish/colour was so different. When using my fingertip to swatch the highlighter, it starts as a light gold but it darkens the more you apply which I’ve never seen with an highlighter before.

Yes adding more product will obviously intensify the glow, but the colour darkens the more you apply and if you apply a very sheer layer it works for pale skin which I never expected at all. I was worried it’d look like a golden stripe across my cheekbones, but a sheer application really does work and I can still get the intense glow.

I have never seen such a beautiful highlighter in the pan before, it literally looks like shimmering waves of liquid highlighter. The compact is so beautiful with glossy black plastic and a rose gold star design. ABH always have the prettiest packaging, but this highlighter is on another level inside and out and the wave design hasn’t disappeared with frequent use and there’s a generous 9 grams of product too.

I think you can probably gauge how much I love this highlighter, but I can’t say enough good things about it and the only negative is the fact it’s limited edition, so fingers crossed it doesn’t get discontinued too soon as it’s such a beauty.

What do you think of the stunning new Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter?
