Elemental Herbology Skincare
Skincare can be so overwhelming as there are so many different brands and products, it can be hard to know what to try. Elemental Herbology are a natural skincare and bodycare brand that aims to provide ultimate skin nutrition by combining the most innovative ingredient technology with natural botanicals to transform your skin and improve your wellbeing.
The Elemental Herbology philosophy is so intriguing as it’s based on the “Five Element Theory” in traditional Chinese medicine; a belief that everything in life needs to work in harmony in order to achieve perfect equilibrium. The products relate to each of the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal and water) as they believe a balance of the elements is needed depending on your skin type, environmental factors, lifestyle as well as the seasons.
I’ve been trialling a trio of Elemental Herbology skincare products over the last couple of months, and I was really surprised by how many products they have to offer. The Elemental Herbology Nutrition Infusion Sheet Masks can be purchased in a pack of four for £35 working out at £8.75 each, and they’ve even won an award so I couldn’t wait to try one. It is said to be infused with nourishing botanicals and rich in vitamins and enzymes to promote healthy skin and improve skins barrier against environmental damage.
You remove the mask from the packet and remove the protective white film and smooth the sheet mask over the face adjusting the eye, mouth and nose openings to fit comfortably. Once on the skin, you leave it to work it’s magic for 15-20 minutes and massage any residual serum into the skin. I only had one to try but I really enjoyed it as it’s very hydrating and soothing on the skin. I used it when my skin was feeling particularly dry and I noticed an instant improvement in my skin for using the mask, and the sheet was nicely saturated in serum.
Next up is the Elemental Herbology Skincare Facial Soufflé £49 which is an overnight cream/mask which helps to replace lost moisture, firms and plumps the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is said to be ideal for those with dry or mature skin, for use during the winter months or for frequent flyers. As a night cream it can be applied after cleansing to the face, neck and decollete and when used as a mask you simply apply a thicker layer and allow it to sink into the skin.
The consistency is very thick, and it’s lovely and rich which is exactly what my skin needs as it’s so dry and dehydrated. The ingredients are really impressive and it leaves my skin feeling like silk, and I like to use it once a week as an hydrating overnight mask and an overnight moisturiser whenever my skin is particularly dry. The cream contains the following ingredients;
• Hematite A rock extract rich in iron to tighten and firm the skin by boosting collagen synthesis.
• Aquarich A 24-hour moisturising complex that locks moisture into the skin and visibly improve hydration.
• Argan Oil Rich in Essential Fatty Acids and Vitamin E to neutralise free radicals, protect against environmental extremes while helping to promote increased elasticity, hydration and repair.
The last of the three products is the Elemental Herbology Vital Glow Overnight Resurfacing Cream £57 which has won multiple awards. Described as being a rich overnight treatment to repair skin from environmental damage and the early signs of ageing, as well as improving skin texture and pigmentation is reduced for soft, smooth and plump skin.
“Vital Glow is the next generation in intelligent, restorative skincare for skin experiencing environmental damage and the early signs of ageing. Containing Plant C-Stem which naturally helps to revitalise, energise and repair the skin; Granactive Retinoid, a next-generation anti-ageing product suitable for sensitive skin; Vitamin C-rich Kakadu Plum; Omega-rich Argan and Sacha Inchi Oil; Malic Acid (from apples), Glycolic Acid (from Sugar Cane) and Lactic Acid (from Milk) helps to dramatically stimulate cell turnover, reduce blemishes, pigmentation and skin imperfections and to deliver a healthy and radiant glow.”
I don’t use the Vital Glow on the same nights as the Facial Soufflé, but you can apply it every night after applying your chosen serum. My skin reacts very well with AHA’s so I knew I’d love this cream and it’s definitely my favourite from the trio as it feels more like a skincare treatment than a simple moisturiser. It leaves my skin plump, softened and so radiant especially as I’ve been using it alongside the Vichy LiftActiv Vitamin C Skin Brightening Corrector.
I’d love to know if you’ve tried anything from Elemental Herbology Skincare before?
