Pixi x Weylie Dimensional Eye Creator Palette and Eyeliner Set

Last year Pixi collaborated with three ‘influencers’ to create the #PixiPretties collection which included Caroline Hirons, It’s Judy Time, Maryam Maquillage and Aspynovard and I really loved everything I tried within the collection. Following the success of their first #PixiPretties collection, Pixi have teamed up with three new influencers to create a selection of fabulous products. The three new collaborators are Chloe Morello, Dulce Candy and Weylie Hoang and from the range of products, it was the Pixi x Weylie Dimensional Eye Creator Palette which particularly caught my eye as I loved the idea of a palette and liner set and I already know I love the Pixi Liquid Eyeliner.

The Pixi x Weylie Dimensional Eye Creator Palette is £22 gives you the tools to create many different eye looks with a collection of stunning neutral shades and a liner in both a kohl and liquid format. I hadn’t heard of Weylie prior to this collaboration so I think it’s great Pixi are introducing us to bloggers/YouTuber’s we may not necessarily read or watch. In all of the photos I’ve seen of Weylie, her eye makeup always looks gorgeous so it makes sense that she’d choose to create an eye makeup set.

The Pixi x Weylie Dimensional Eye Creator Palette is said to be perfect for creating definition and dimension, and looks great on all eye shapes and sizes. It can be used to create both natural and dramatic looks with both matte and shimmer shades which can be applied with your fingertips or brushes. Pixi even have some usage tips on their website on how best you can use the products which is always helpful and Weylie did a YouTube video on the palette which you can see here.

The eyeshadow palette within the Pixi x Weylie Dimensional Eye Creator set includes six powder eyeshadows with three mattes and three shimmers, and are 2.3 grams each which is pretty huge for an eyeshadow. A single full size MAC Eyeshadow is 1.5 grams so to get six very large shadows and a double ended liner for £23 is such a great price especially as the Pixi Lash Line Ink Eyeliner Pen is £12 alone, as is the Pixi Eye Define Waterline Pen.

All six shadows are really lovely and soft, they’re easy to apply and blend and they last nicely throughout the day. I like that there’s an equal mix of shimmers and mattes, and the palette as a whole is very warm toned. The only downside for me which is a very small one,  but the compact is so much bigger than it needs to be. The lid is almost two centimetres thick but it’s still very much a travel friendly palette and it would work well for everyday looks, or more dramatic evening looks also.

The eyeliner pen within the set is my standout item as it’s such a genius idea to have a liquid eyeliner pen on one side, and a soft kohl liner on the other. You could use the liquid liner for creating a wing and then the kohl for your lower lashline, or within your waterline/tightline to give your lashes a little more definition. The liquid liner is a super intense, matte black and the kohl is a softer matte black which I prefer for kohl liners anyway.

The liquid liner side of the pen seriously doesn’t budge when on the skin and neither does it smudge or fade throughout the day. The kohl is very creamy and easy to smudge, and you only need to press the pencil very gently against the skin as it is so creamy. It makes it so handy to have both a liquid liner and a kohl in one especially for your makeup bag, and I really hope Pixi decide to make this a permanent product within their range as it’s so, so good.

Have you tried anything from the new #PixiPretties collection?
