My skin is ridiculously dry and dehydrated, and even though I’m constantly applying copious amounts of serums, facial oils and hydrating facial masks my skin remains awfully dry which makes me feel so self conscious as my foundation just doesn’t sit nicely on my dry patches. I mentioned in my recent Feel unique haul that I had a severe contact dermatitis flareup back in February which caused pin head sized blisters all over my face and neck including my eyelids, and ever since the blisters disappeared my skin’s been the driest it’s ever been. I decided to try the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask as I’d read amazing reviews and I was desperate for a product which would help the appearance of my skin. I got the 100ml size which is £31 but they also do a 15ml mini size for £7 which is an amazing way to try the product before shelling out for the full size version.
“Our overnight mask will plump your skin’s ability to hold the soothing and nourishing moisture all night, so that you wake up with a radiant look tomorrow.
– Intensely hydrates and moisturises skin overnight.
– Creates an invisible “net” to hold moisture on skin.
– Strengthens skin’s moisture barrier and helps protect against nighttime moisture loss.
– Skin is calmed and soothed by a combination of antioxidants.”
The directions are very simple, you simply apply to cleansed skin before bed and massage into the skin so it can work whilst you sleep and in the morning you just cleanse as normal. It’s fragrance free and gentle enough to be used nightly should you need to, but I’ve found using it every other night to work just perfectly but I’ve also worn it all day during a no-makeup day too.
The Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask has a thick gel like consistency which feels extremely soothing on the skin, which feels amazing especially when my skin’s feeling particularly tight and uncomfortable. It feels like a moisturiser and serum hybrid which softens, smooths and plumps and never have I used a skincare product which has given me such immediate results. My skin feels so much more comfortable and my dry patches look a lot less noticeable under makeup, and I find that my makeup lasts longer as my skin’s considerably more hydrated.
When my tube of Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask arrived, I took my makeup off and applied it within minutes as I was so looking forward to trying it but I never expected to see a noticeable improvement in my skin in a matter of hours. I really appreciate that the mask doesn’t leave my skin feeling tacky or laden in product as I hate night creams/products which you get all over your pillowcase.
The mask becomes tackiness free in around fifteen minutes and whilst you can feel there’s product on the skin, it doesn’t transfer whatsoever. I tend to apply a two pound coin sized amount per use and it smooths over the skin nicely. It’s gentle enough for my eyelids too and whilst it’s not recommended for around the eye area, I’ve had zero issues and it’s cleared my dry patches on my eyelids completely.
Sometimes you find a product which makes your skin feel amazing but you have to keep using it to feel and see the results, but even if I use this mask once a week the benefits are longlasting so you could make this tube really last. If you have skin like mine, I cannot recommend this Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask enough and I would really recommend trying the 15ml sample to give it a try as I was wowed from the very first use.
I’m planning on purchasing the Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharger Concentrate and Moisture Surge Intense Moisturiser very soon as I’ve loved this mask and the Moisture Surge Facial Spray so I’d love to try more from the range.
Have you ever tried anything from the Clinique Moisture Surge range before?
