I’m always excited whenever Essence launch a new product, never mind a whole range so imagine my excitement when I saw the new Essence Get Your Glitter On Loose Glitters and Pigments Collection. I am such a massive glitter fan and I’m so happy that glitter makeup has become so much more popular, and Essence have launched a fantastic collection of fifteen loose pigments and glitters as well as a glitter glue primer and a glitter/pigment applicator all of which are available from Wilko.
Each of the glitters and pigments are just £3 each for 7 grams of product within a cute, clear glass jar. The only downside with them is there’s no sifter, they’re open bottles like the MAC Pigments so make sure you’re very careful when unscrewing the lid as they can go everywhere which I’ve since discovered.
“Coarse glitter flakes, colorful confetti or fine fairy dust – the different glitter pigments offer everything you need for a unique, breathtaking look. applied solo, they create a wow-look. in combination with other glitter colours or forms, they make a real statement! no matter whether for the face or body, the 15 loose pigments & glitters are sure to make you shine – true to the motto: get your glitter on!“

Essence Glitter Primer
The Glitter Glue isn’t showing on the Wilko website so hopefully it’ll launch online soon, but I’m sure you’ll be able to track it down instore if you have a Wilko store near to you. This is a transparent primer which acts as a glue for loose glitter and primer on the body.
It’s an handy little squeezy tube and the primer itself is a pearlescent cream which has the consistency of a face primer and blends easily into the skin to leave a dewy finish which you can apply the pigment and glitter. The consistency is unlike any other glitter primer I’ve tried but the dewy finish means the glitter and pigment adheres very well.
Essence The Sili Helpers Glitter & Pigment Applicator £1.50
I’ve never seen a glitter applicator before but this is such a genius idea. It looks like a sponge tip applicator within the packet but it’s actually a silicone almost spade shape tip which is tapered for easy and accurate application.
The flat side of the applicator is for spreading the pigment and glitter across the skin for larger areas and it works really well as the glitter can be wiped off the applicator without it sticking and it’s so useful as you can apply glitter to the very tip of the applicator if you want to be super precise.
I’d love to know what you think of the new Essence Glitter Collection? Do you like using loose glitters and loose pigments?
