The NEW NUXE Aquabella Skincare Collection

NUXE are one of my favourite skincare brands with their iconic Reve de Miel Lip Balm being my holy grail lip balm. I featured one of the newest NUXE launches earlier this year; the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Riche, and they’ve now launched a whole new skincare collection designed for combination skin. I myself have very dry skin but you tend to find skincare ranges catering towards those with normal skin, oily skin or dry skin and very rarely for those with combination skin which is why this launch is so exciting. My skin’s super dry so I can use very rich formulas to add back some much needed moisture, but combination skin types struggle to find products which treat their multiple skin concerns in one without having to use different products on different parts of the face. The NUXE Aquabella skincare collection consists of three products and all three are available to purchase from Feelunique alongside the rest of the NUXE ranges.

NUXE Aquabella Skincare Collection

The purpose of the new NUXE Aquabella Skincare Collection is to visibly enhance the skin’s quality, whilst mattifying to create a radiant and dewy complexion in an handy three step skincare routine. The NUXE Aquabella regime is said to be for every woman in need of tailor made hydration, and the collection will put an end to the eternal dilemma of combination skin by providing a ‘plumpy’ fullness in dehydrated areas and a clear complexion in more oily areas.

The Aquabella regime features White Waterlily which originates from Madagascar, natural original hyaluronic acid and an exclusive new patented natural blue complex combining oats, sugars, green lentil and Nasturtium extract. NUXE has combined these ingredients from natural origin into three products; a face cleanser, lotion and moisturising face care which is effective at any age, but is particularly recommended for those between 18 and 25 years old.

NUXE Aquabella Beauty Revealing Essence Lotion 200ml £13.50

Nuxe Aquabella Beauty-Revealing Essence-Lotion designed for combination skin cloaks the face in a moisturising veil. It is made with White Waterlily from Madagascar and natural-origin Hyaluronic Acid. Its slightly textured effect provides comfort and leaves skin feeling softer. This toner for combination skin visibly corrects and improves skin quality: pores are tightened and skin’s texture is smoothed. Apply morning and/or evening using a cotton pad, then tap gently with your fingers to encourage penetration of natural active ingredients.

NUXE Aquabella Beauty Revealing Moisturising Emulsion 50ml £21

NUXE Aquabella Beauty-Revealing Moisturising Emulsion designed for combination skin creates an ultra-fresh “bare skin” finish. Apply Aquabella Beauty-Revealing Moisturising Emulsion on the face and neck. More than just a moisturiser for combination skin, this light emulsion melts over the skin moisturising dry areas and mattifiying oily areas thanks to a Silica Powder.”

The NUXE Aquabella Essence Lotion is my favourite item from the trio as I love using essences within my skincare routine, and this particular formula makes my skin feel so fresh and smooth. It doesn’t feel at all stripping and has a very subtle scent which doesn’t cause my skin any irritation. Although the whole range is designed for combination skin, I think this essence would work for all skin types and £13.50 is a great price for a quality essence. The Exfoliating Purifying Gel is clear in colour with blue micro-beads, and is an exfoliator and cleanser in one which is a little too stripping for my dehydrated skin but it’s effectively purifying and I imagine it’d work wonders for combination or oilier skin types.

The Moisturising Emulsion is a lovely light moisturiser especially for warmer days when I don’t want layers of rich serums and lotions. It mattifies without drying out my skin and it has a nice subtle floral scent. I was worried the moisturiser might have been too mattifying for my skin with the silica powder, but helps to combat shine especially under makeup. If you have combination skin, the new NUXE Aquabella range is worth a try and there’s even a mini size of the exfoliator within this month’s Birchbox which is a fab way to sample the Aquabella formula.
