I’ve been a Laura Geller fan way before they become the super popular brand they are today, when the only place you can purchase their products was via QVC. Their line started on focusing on their iconic baked formulas, but they’ve seriously diversified over the last few years and I’m so happy they’ve become a lot more popular. I’ve featured many Laura Geller products on my blog over the last five years, and today I have a selection of their lip products to show you from three different ranges, all of which are available to purchase from Debenhams.
Laura Geller Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lip Glosses
The Laura Geller Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lip Glosses are £16 each with sixteen different shades to choose from. I love lip gloss so much, and would choose lip glosses over lipsticks or liquid lipsticks any day of the week as I find them to be so much more comfortable on the lips and more versatile. I adore trying new lip gloss formulas so the Laura Geller Nude Kisses were a very welcome addition to my collection as nude lip colours are my favourite.
“When it comes to the nude lip look, there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all color. The Laura Geller Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lip Gloss is an ultra-creamy, moisturizing gloss with sheer-to-medium coverage and a non-sticky hi-shine finish. Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lip Gloss collection features 16 shades of color-kissed nudes in crème and shimmer finishes for all skin tones and lip tones.“
I really appreciate that Laura Geller has created such an extensive range of nude shades within this collection as a nude lip shade for me might not work for you as our natural lip colour can vary so much depending on skintone. My lips are naturally very pale so I can wear all of these five shades, but there’s bound to be at least one shade we can all wear from the shade range and they all have a nude or love theme for their names which is cute.
I have five of the sixteen shades and they vary in their finishes with both creme and shimmers, and they’re just beautiful. The glosses all have a cobra-like shaped doefoot applicator which fits the contours of the lips perfectly, and distributes the perfect amount of product without having to dip back into the tube and they have a subtle vanilla scent.
Beach Bum – Shimmering plummy-mauve
Get Cheeky – Medium shimmering rose
Bikini Bottom – Medium plum
Skinny Dip – Light neutral nude beige
Heartbreaker – Shimmering cool nude
The glosses are lovely and pigmented, with a nourishing consistency on the lips almost like a lip oil without any stickiness. I like that you can wear just one swipe for a subtle wash of colour, or build up a couple of layers for a more intense colour. They’re such pretty shades and my favourite would have to be Bikini Bottom or Skinny Dip but I love all five shades, and the rest of the other eleven shades look equally pretty too.
Laura Geller Color Luster High Definition Top Coat Lip Gloss
“Gloss,Glaze, Sheen and Glisten! Top off your favorite lip color with this deliciously decadent Color Luster Lip Gloss Hi-Def Top Coats infused with light-reflecting pearls and lip conditioning Kendi Oil. This lustrous high-shine lip gloss topper feels lightweight, cushiony and creamy leaving behind a sparkling sheen.
Its light reflecting pearls impart a unique finish on top of any lip color and cushions lips with a rich, always silky, never-sticky shine. Offering a spectrum of sheer to moderate coverage shades, each of these Hi-Def Toppers flaunt a mixture of unique pigment and reflecting pearl – the ideal finishing touch for any lip look, day or night! There’s a shade for every skin tone.“
The Laura Geller Color Luster High Definition Top Coat Lip Gloss is £15 and is available in a total of six stunning shades, and I have the shade Rose Tourmaline. Lip topper seems to be somewhat of a buzzword within the beauty community right now, but you can use any gloss to top any lipstick although I do appreciate a multi-dimensional lipgloss such as this one for adding a little sparkle to the lips.
Rose Tourmaline is deep rose with pink and gold sparkle and it actually reminds me of the Pixi Lip Icing as they’re both very comfortable gloss formulas. The whole desk to dancefloor scenario is seriously cringe, but this gloss would be the perfect product to glam up your makeup and the other shades look super pretty too; especially Diamond Dust and Gilded Honey.
Laura Geller Iconic Baked Sculpting Lipsticks
“Artisan-baked pigments and rich moisturizers saturate lips with creamy, vibrant color that feels weightless and lasts all day. A curved bullet shape allows for a single-swipe application providing long-lasting, high impact wear.“
The last products I have to show you are three shades of the Laura Geller Iconic Baked Sculpting Lipsticks which are £16 each and available in a total of eighteen different shades. I do already own three shades of the Iconic Baked Sculpting Lipstick range so I know I like the formula. The lipsticks have a super sleek, matte black magnetic casing and an unique woven design on the bullets.
Fifth Avenue Ruby – Crimson Red
Mulberry Street – Berry Mauve
East Side Rouge – Dusty Rose
The shape of the bullet is unique too as it’s very curved so it hugs the lips and these lipsticks are very intensely pigmented, with almost complete opacity in one swipe although my swatches are messier than normal as the curved bullet doesn’t lend itself well for swatching. I think the formula and pigment of these Laura Geller lipsticks is actually better than that of MAC Lipsticks, and they feel a lot more comfortable on the lips. The pigmentation is so intense, these three shades stain the lips making them very long wearing and I would love to try some nude shades such as Soho Nude.
I would love to know if you’ve tried the Laura Geller Nude Kisses Glosses, Lipsticks or Lip Toppers before?
