Pixi created their first Pixi Pretties collection last year where they collaborated with a selection of YouTubers and created some beautiful products. This year Pixi have collaborated with Chloe Morello, Weylie Hoang and Dulce Candy for Pixi Pretties II and I’ve already featured the Pixi x Weylie collection here on my blog. Today I have the Pixi x Chloe Morello Pixi Pretties to show you which is a two piece collection including the Chloette Palette and the Lip Icing which can be purchased individually. The Weylie Collection was one product but it contained two products in one, but both Chloe and Dulce have two separate products within their Pixi Pretties collection.
The Pixi x Chloe Morello Palette Chloette is £28 and the Lip Icing is £16 and they can both be purchased on the Pixi UK website, and Chloe made a video on the Pixi YouTube channel giving a behind the scenes look and the reasoning behind her two products.
Chloe also uploaded a video on her own YouTube channel talking about her Pixi collaboration. I’ve watched Chloe Morello’s videos for a number of years and she frequently uses Pixi products which is why I really like this collection in particular, as some ‘influencers’ tend to stick their name to a product or a collection for a brand they’ve never or rarely mentioned on their blog or channel.
Pixi x Chloe Morello Lip Icing Liquid Lip
\”This liquid lip adds a 3D glimmer. Use on bare lips or on top of lip colour for an instant glow-boost. Infused with nourishing rose hip & marula oil. Chloe wanted to create a beautiful, luminous lipgloss that can be worn on its own or over lipstick for any occasion. Silky lip glimmer adds the perfect sparkle to any lip look, with the rose hip oil and marula oil working to smooth and condition the lips. Extremely smooth to apply and comfortable to wear.“
The Lip Icing is currently only available in one single shade; cake but I’m hoping Pixi decide to make the Lip Icing formula a permanent fixture within their product range as I would so love to see more shades introduced. I actually think this Lip Icing is my standout product across all three ranges within the Pixi Pretties collection – it’s absolutely stunning.
I’m a massive lip gloss fan anyway, but this is such a lovely gloss which feels comfortable on the lips whilst offering nourishment and softness to the lips. It has a delicious chocolate orange scent which I wasn’t expecting, as I assumed the scent would be cake-like considering the scent but it smells so, so good.
The gloss has a very pale bronze, translucent base which doesn’t impart colour to the lips unless you really layer it up like I did the swatch above. Within the gloss, there are pink, silver, copper and gold glitter particles which don’t feel gritty or noticeable on the lips. The glitter is exceptionally fine and just looks stunning on the lips, and you can wear it layered over absolutely any lip colour to add dimension and shine, but it’s seriously pretty worn alone too without being sticky either.
Pixi x Chloe Morello Palette Chloette
“Bring out your inner glow and add a romantic sheen to your favourite features with this must-have palette containing Chloe’s favourite hues. Super silky blush and eye shades bring that “in-love glow” to your complexion & lids. To finish off we included a trio of matte eye contour & liner shades that double as brow powders to define.
Chloe’s inspiration for this palette was love and romance, with the powders being highly pigmented and blendable as well as being emollient making them easy to apply for a skin-like natural finish. Chloe designed this palette to be everything you need for everyday, special occasions or even your wedding to softly highlight and enhance.”
Chloe was planning her wedding whilst she was designing the palette, which gave her the inspiration for the shades and finishes as she wanted the palette to give your skin “that glow you have when you’re in love and happy”. The shadows and blushes are designed to give you a glow but the brow shades can be used as matte shadows to create definition. Inside the palette there are three large x 4.45g blushes that are described as having a ‘satin finish’, as well as six x 1.8g eyeshadows and three x 1.1g brow colours alongside a very thin mirror strip which in all honesty is too narrow to use for applying makeup.
Chloe intended for the six eyeshadow shades to work as highlighters as well as eyeshadows so it truly is an all in one palette, and Chloe even uses the lightest shade within the brow trio for contouring too. The names for the shades are again inspired by Chloe’s wedding planning which is a really nice touch. The powders are all very soft and smooth, with decent pigmentation and a nice sheen. The palette was designed to be glowy so it’s not the palette for you if you prefer your blushes and eyeshadows to be matte.
The quality of the eyeshadows is very good and on par with the shades within the Weylie Palette, and whilst I can’t personally use any of the shades as highlighters for my skintone I think the shades are quite versatile. I love that the shadows are laid out in duos as it takes the guess work out of choosing eyeshadow shades, but you can obviously use whichever shades you want. The brow shades aren’t as pigmented as the shadow/highlighter shades but that’s not necessarily a bad thing and they can be used as eyeliners too. It’s such a beautiful palette and I really like the range of shades and tones, and I can imagine it being the perfect palette for a wedding makeup look as it is so glowy and beautiful.
I’d love to know if you’ve tried anything from the Pixi Pretties collection? What do you think of the Pixi x Chloe Morello collection?
