Carmex Pineapple Mint Moisturising Lip Balm

Carmex is a brand which has been in Superdrug and Boots for as long as I can remember, but it’s actually been around since 1937. I’ve tried the plain version of Carmex, but I always found that it was a little bit too intense for my liking as it has a really strong tingle upon application.

I’ve always liked how super hydrating Carmex is, but I’ve been dying to find a milder version of their iconic lipbalm and the new Carmex Pineapple Mint Moisturising Lip Balm is exactly that and it’s only £2.79.

Don’t get me wrong, Pineapple Mint still has the trademark Carmex chapstick tingle, but I find it to be a lot more subtle and I much prefer it especially as it’s still very moisturising.

Bursting with flavour, CARMEX Pineapple & Mint Lip Balm protects and moisturises dry lips and contains added protection of SPF 15. Use as an undercoat to lipstick or on its own to give your lips a natural healthy shine. Apply liberally and evenly as often as necessary. Especially useful before and after expose to sunlight, wind or low temperatures.

If you’ve ever tried the original version of the Carmex lip balm, you’ll know it has a subtle minty scent and is completely colourless. It adds a little shine to the lips, but the shine doesn’t last for very long, but it really does a great job at nourishing the lips.

It’s supposedly a favourite lipbalm of Hollywood stars and makeup artists all over the world. The new Carmex Pineapple Mint Moisturising Lip Balm is available in their squeezy tube format, just like their other flavoured options.

The Carmex Pineapple Mint Moisturising Lip Balm has the most amazing fruity tropical scent which is pretty strong and I can smell the pineapple mint scent for the whole time the lipbalm is shiny on my lips.

To me I find the Carmex Pineapple Mint version to be more of a lipgloss than a lipbalm as it makes my lips so shiny and it’s the perfect conditioning lip shine for everyday and as the colour is pretty much clear with only a tiny yellow tint (which isn’t noticeable on the lips) you can apply it on the go without needing a mirror.

I wish the UK had more different scents as the US has so many different options, but the pineapple mint is definitely my favourite addition to the range so far and I love that it gives my lips protection thanks to the SPF15.

Which is your favourite Carmex lip balm you’ve tried?
