If you watch a lot of beauty YouTube videos, I can pretty much guarantee you’ve seen the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel mentioned many, many times before. It’s definitely one of the most popular cleansers within the beauty community but unbelievably one I’d never tried for myself until recently; in fact, I’ve never tried any Oskia products before. The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel Illuminating Vitamin Melting Cleanser is £31 and available from Cult Beauty, and it’s one of their bestselling cleansers and the bestselling product full stop for the whole of 2015 so it was high time I gave the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel a try especially as it’s a multi award winning product.
“With Vitamins A, C & E, Omega 6, Starflower Oil, Pumpkin Enzymes, Chamomile & Rose
(For all skin types, particularly combination, normal, dull or dry)
The cult and original gel-to-oil cleanser. Melts beautifully into skin to quickly and gently remove impurities and makeup while actively illuminating and nourishing to reveal balanced, clean, fresh, radiant skin that feels soft and smooth. Wonderfully rich in vitamins and enzymes.
Great for…
- Dry skin
- Dull Skin
- Pigmentation
- Acne scars
- Combination skin
- Blemished skin
- Oily skin (use with a muslin cloth)”
The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel Illuminating Vitamin Melting Cleanser is packaged within a white bottle with a decent pump dispenser which I use to dispense directly into my palm before rubbing my dry hands together before gently massing the gel into the skin. Once I’ve massaged the cleanser in thoroughly, I add a little water with my hands or with a cloth which emulsifies the pink coloured gel into a lovely gentle milky consistency.
The only thing I don’t love with the cleanser is the scent as it’s rose scented and I know I’m in the tiny minority which just doesn’t like rose, but it’s not a deal breaker for me as it doesn’t stay on the skin like a moisturiser or serum would.
The cleanser isn’t the most effective at removing mascara or full coverage makeup so I prefer to use a micellar water for removing my makeup so I can be more sparing with how much product I need to use. The ingredients list is amazing with so many skin-friendly ingredients so it feels like a real treat for skin so I’d recommend using it for your second cleanse if you double cleanse as it’s such an enjoyable cleanser to use.
It leaves my skin feeling extremely soft and smooth, and it’s as if I’ve used an hydrating moisturiser after using it which never happens after using a cleanser. It’s one of those products I’ve always wondered if it was worth the hype and price, but I honestly think it is and I like that I only ever need to use one pump as it emulsifies so well and it’s definitely been a great starting product for me with the Oskia brand.
I’d love to know if you’ve ever tried the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel?
