OGX are on a roll with their new haircare launches, with the release of their newest range; the OGX Hydrate and Marula Oil collection which is currently available at Boots. The OGX Hydrate and Marula Oil Shampoo and Conditioner are inspired by the power of the ancient African Marula tree, and help to deliver superb lightweight deep moisturisation and leave hair feeling and looking smooth, and glossy. Marula Oil is known as the ‘miracle oil’ due to its multiple benefits for the hair, skin and nails, and is extracted from the nut of the Marula fruit and has been used in Africa for over 12,000 years for its nutrient rich benefits.
It has an incredibly light molecular formula which means it can be quickly absorbed to deliver longlasting hydration without weighing the hair down. Marula Oil is packed with fatty acids, is high in vitamin C (Marula Juice has four times as much vitamin C as orange juice) and contains 60% more anti-oxidants than other oils. The OGX Hydrate and Marula Oil haircare duo help to protect the hair from environmental damage, hydrate and de-frizz the hair too. The new collection is said to be suitable for many hair types, but will work best for normal, fine, dry, frizzy and colour treated hair.
Some of the OGX ranges have quite strong scents, but I find the scent of the OGX Hydrate and Marula Oil to be quite light in comparison but still very lovely. If you like the scent of the Argan Oil range, you’ll love the scent of this range too. I’m always wary of hydrating shampoo/conditioner as my hair is so fine, it can get weighed down very easily but this range is lightweight yet very hydrating too and it’d work brilliantly for coloured hair to replenish any lost moisture and at just £6.99 each, they’re affordable too.
