I’ve heard so much about Bondi Sands over the years but as I don’t use or wear fake tan, it’s not a brand I’ve been able to try. Bondi Sands are an Australian self tanning brand, inspired by Australia’s most well known beach. They have a desire to make the ultimate tan accessible to everyone with salon quality formulas to give you an even, naturally golden tan that hydrates and nourishes your skin meaning you stay bronzed for longer. They have recently extended their product range with the introduction of the Bondi Sands Suncare range, which is very exciting and the whole range is exclusive to Boots.
The range currently consists of five different products priced between £7.99 and £14.99, and all of the products are made in Australia; SPF15 Sunscreen Oil, SPF30 Sunscreen Oil, Protect + Tan SPF15 Tanning Oil, SPF30 Suncreen Lotion and SPF50+ Sunscreen Lotion, all of which can be used on both the face and body. I have two of the products from the Bondi Sands Suncare range to show you today…
Bondi Sands Coconut Beach Sunscreen Lotion SPF50+ £8.99
“Enjoy a sun-soaked day the Bondi Sands way with our unique summer fragrance. Our SPF 50+ broad-spectrum formula is non-greasy, water resistant for 4 hours and leaves your skin feeling moisturised and protected so you can step into the sun with confidence.“
Bondi Sands Coconut Beach Protect + Tan Coconut Beach Tanning Oil SPF15 £14.99
“Enjoy a sun-soaked day the Bondi Sands way with our unique summer fragrance. Our Protect & Tan SPF 15 tanning oil is non-greasy and contains self-tanning ingredients to help develop a natural golden glow whilst staying protected from the harsh UV rays.“
I have super pale skin and a lot of freckles so I only ever wear SPF50 as I burn so easily so I wouldn’t use the tanning oil but if you do like to use a tanning oil, this is a good option as it offers a decent protection of SPF15 whilst also offering self tan, to give you a gorgeous glow which would work well for those that struggle to tan.
So many tanning oils are SPF4 or 8 which don’t offer a lot of protection, so I like that the tanning oil within the Bondi Sands suncare range has a decent SPF. I do like using sun protection oils in general as they really help to hydrate the skin, and leave a pretty sheen too – read reviews on their website.
The Bondi Sands Coconut Beach Sunscreen Lotion smells amazing! It doesn’t have the typical suncream scent which can be a little overpowering, instead it has a delicious strawberry scent which is a lot fresher and lighter. When you use such an high SPF, the creams can be seriously thick and mask like on the skin but this is one of the most lightweight SPF50 lotions I’ve tried.
It’s a very lightweight milk-like consistency which is easy to massage into the skin, and it leaves no greasiness or residue on the skin which is virtually unheard of with such an high SPF. If SPF50 is too high for you, there’s also an SPF30 too but I’m a big fan of how lightweight it is.
Have you tried anything from the Bondi Sands Suncare range yet?
