The Pixi Matte Last Liquid Lip Collection launched back in December and I featured them on my blog here. The original Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip Collection lineup consisted of six neutral toned shades and I really loved them and I’m very pleased Pixi have decided to extend the shade range by introducing five new shades to the collection all of which are slightly bolder and brighter than the original six shades.
The Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip Lipsticks are £16 each and they’ve even a Cosmopolitan 2017 Beauty Awards winner so it totally makes sense that they’d extend the shade range, especially as matte liquid lipsticks are so popular right now.
All of the bloggers and YouTubers on the Pixi PR list were sent the above box, and in addition to the eleven shades within the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip Collection, Pixi also gave us an exciting oppurtunity. In the top half of the box, Pixi have included four pots of lip colours and one empty pot and they’re wanting us to create our very own lip colour by mixing the red, yellow, brown and white shades.
Pixi will choose one winner from all of the shades made and make it the twelfth shade within the range, and the winner will be taken to LA for a makeover which is an amazing oppurtunity. I have already mixed my colour up and I’m excited to send it off but let’s get back to the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip Collection…
• Extremely longwearing & comfortable, infused with rosehip oil
• Quickly sets to a matte veil while leaving lips hydrated
• Colours are universally flattering and wearable
• Colour applies smoothly and uniformly in a single stroke
• Unique Pixi Petal applicator provides even and precise application
• Not tested on animals
• Paraben free
These are the swatches of all eleven shades within the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip Collection, but the second swatch photo shows the five new shades to the range. I did swatch the original six shades in my first post but I thought it would be helpful to have all 11 shades swatched together.
The Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip Lipsticks have a rectangular plastic tube with a clear base and Pixi trademark pastel green lid, and they have a doefoot applicator with a teardrop sized well in the middle which holds enough product for an entire application without having to dip back into the tube. The doefoot is a great shape as you can create a really precise application which is particularly important with the new five bolder shades.
Peony Pink: a pinky mauve.
Prettiest Pink: a bright blue toned pink.
Orange Red: an orangey red.
Real Red: a true neutral toned red.
Berry Boost: a deep berry red.
You can read more about the formula in my original post, but if you love liquid lipsticks you need to try one of these.
