I’ve been a fan of Revlon lip products ever since I fell in love with their ColorBurst Lip Butters that everyone went crazy over and I think I had about 8 or 9 at one point and I loved how easy they were to apply, and how comfortable they were on the lips. I don’t feel like Revlon ever really replaced them with a product which offered the same benefits until their newest launch that is; the Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Cremes all of which I have to show you today with swatches. I haven’t seen anything about these anywhere but they must’ve been launched in the US for a considerably long time as there’s over 780 reviews of them on the Ulta website, but they’ve now launched in the UK and Boots and Superdrug.

The Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Cremes are available in five shades, all of which are relatively neutral and I think five shades is quite mediocre for Revlon. Revlon are known for their large shade ranges especially their lipsticks, so hopefully they’ll choose to introduce a few more shades if they’re well received by their customers.
They’re £6.99 each which I think is pretty decent as Revlon are one of the more ‘premium’ drugstore brands as their foundations are £12-£13 so I think £6.99 isn’t bad at all. Each of the Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Cremes are packaged in colour coded tubes so you can easily tell them apart with the shade name printed on the back of the tube. One thing I will say though, the shades inside of each tube are darker than the tube so it’s best to swatch prior to purchase to ensure you like the true shade inside.
Cashmere Cream is the lightest shade and is a light peach, Nude Honey is a warm toned peach, Peony Buff is a medium pink, Barely Blush is a pinky brown whilst Velvet Mink is a deep mauve. All of the shades are cream finish with no shimmer or sparkle, and the tubes have an angled applicator with a hole which dispenses the cream so you can apply them directly to the lips. The Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Cremes remind me of a more opaque and a more intense version of the Clarins Natural Lip Perfectors, and they have the same texture when on the lips too.
They feel lightweight, smooth and comfortable with a little stickiness if you apply a generous amount. I really like how easy they are to wear as you don’t need a lipliner and they’re not at all drying either. My favourite shades would be Cashmere Cream, Nude Honey and Barely Blush but I like them all except Velvet Mink which for some reason is a little streaky regardless of how much I apply. I haven’t noticed any lip plumping benefits at all, but I still think they are a really good every day lip colour especially when you want a little shine, and they’re a great budget alternative for the Clarins Natural Lip Perfectors.
Have you tried the Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Cremes yet? Which shade is your favourite?
