If like me, you always struggle to think of great gift ideas for the men in your life for Christmas, Mankind have you covered this year. I always feel as if the guys get a real raw deal compared to the girls as highstreet stores assume men just want Lynx gift sets. I’ve been with my other half for eleven and a half years so it’s safe to say I know him very well but I still struggle to think of gifts which he’ll love, so when I spotted the Mankind Christmas Collection online I couldn’t believe how flipping incredible it was and I knew I had to feature it on my blog.
The Mankind Christmas Collection is a spectacular, curated collection of products worth over £475 when bought individually but somehow Mankind have managed to secure a low price of £100 which is insanely good value, especially when you consider the luxury names within the box such as Elemis, Molton Brown, Omorovicza, Argentum and much, much more.
I knew the Mankind Christmas Collection was going to be big, but I didn’t anticipate how big it was going to be. It’s definitely a ‘wow’ gift especially as it’s so stunningly presented within a navy gift box with a lid, featuring a rose gold foiled raised design on the lid. Wrapping this up for Christmas would be amazing as it’s such a great size, and the box is such a lovely design that it’s guaranteed to impress whomever you gift it to.
There is no doubt, the Mankind Christmas Collection is the ULTIMATE Christmas Gift for the guys as it features a great balance of skincare, haircare, bodycare and more. Whatsmore, the products are nestled within a velvety flocked insert with a card wrap which explains what each product is, the volume of the products and their prices. I’m going to talk through the gems you get within the Mankind Christmas Collection by starting in the top corner and going across in the three rows…
“The Ultimate Male Grooming Collection is back once more. Worth over £475, the Mankind Christmas Collection can be yours for the price of £100. Coming with 12 full-sized products, the Collection is an unparalleled opportunity to get acquainted with the brands at the pinnacle of the world of men’s grooming. With brands such as Elemis, Hanz De Fuko, ARgENTUM, Omorovicza, and more, we’re certain that you’ll love it.“
Mankind Christmas Collection – The Contents
Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask 50ml worth £62 (full size)
As soon as I opened the box, this was the product my eyes were instantly drawn to as I love Omorovicza products. There are several products within the Mankind Christmas Collection which aren’t necessarily just for men, so you could always sneakily ‘borrow’ them and this is one of those products I’ll definitely be wanting to try.
This is such an hyped mask within the beauty world as it’s enriched with Hungarian Moor Mud to cleanse and nourish the skin as well as provide vital minerals to re-energise the complexion and leave it bright and refreshed. Described as being ‘much more than just a face mask’ it is rich in Calcium and Magnesium to actively revitalise tired complexions. The Moor Mud is sourced from Lake Heviz (second largest thermal lake in the world), and works to draw out impurities embedded in within the skin for a good skin detox.
The directions are very easy, you simply apply a generous amount to the face and neck, and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing away with a hot cloth. Some clay based masks can be a little too stripping for the skin, but Omorovicza uses Moor Mud which purifies the skin without leaving it taut. This mask would work really well for oily skins as it draws out toxins and impurities from the skin whilst naturally absorbing pore-clogging oil with white clay. I really want to try this mask along my T-Zone as it sounds amazing from the many rave reviews I’ve read online.
ARgENTUM L’Etoile Infinie Twin Enhancing Face Oil 30ml worth £82 (full size)
I’ve never heard of ARgENTUM before but the story behind the brand is really interesting as the owner Joy Isaacs discovered silver’s miraculous power of healing after going major surgery. The ARgENTUM L’Etoile Infinie is an unisex face oil for all skin types and ages, and it’s 100% natural.
L’étoile infinie is an elixir designed to be used as a super light, protective, hydrating oil which creates supple, radiant skin using non-comedogenic dry oils to complement your ritual. It helps to protect the skin’s elasticity with powerful anti-oxidant properties, and uses organic Argan Oil as a powerful moisturiser with ‘boosted Vitamin E and the perfect synergy of Abyssinian and Kukui Nut Oil’.
I definitely want to look more into the ARgENTUM brand as the whole concept behind the brand really interests me, and I’ll definitely be trying this oil myself as I have very dry skin so I think it’ll work really well for me. The Mankind Christmas Collection is amazing as it allows you or the man in your life to discover new brands, new products and new formulas that you/they might never have tried before.
Avant Anti-Ageing Glycolic Firming Eye Contour Cream 10ml worth £99 (full size)
Can we just take a second to appreciate that this product alone is £99 to purchase individually, and the Mankind Christmas Collection is £100 so essentially you’re getting the other eleven products for one pound – mind blown.
When I met my other half he never used any skincare apart from a face wash and a shaving cream, and now he has a decent skincare routine which definitely shows, and one product he never goes without is an eye cream so he’s particularly looking forward to trying this one. The Avant Anti-Ageing Glycolic Firming Eye Contour Cream is part of the Avant Age Defy+ Range, and is said to defy signs of ageing including crows feet, fine lines and wrinkles but also dark circles and eye bags.
It uses a combination of Hyaluronic and Glycolic acids to penetrate the skin deeply boosting its firmness whilst contributing to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, to treat blackheads, dullness, and oiliness for a youthful appearance. I have to admit, it sounds like one of the most impressive eye creams and I can’t wait to see how effective it is with daily use. The packaging is super sleek too.
Regenerate Advanced Foaming Mouth Wash 50ml worth £50 (full size)
This is such a quirky product and perfect for the guy that likes to try unique products as I’ve never heard of a foaming mouth wash before and it’s a relatively new launch too. Regenerate feature in the odd beauty box here and there, and are known for their enamel restoration properties. The bottle may look small at only 50ml but Regenerate say the bottle has the same amount of uses as a full size 500ml bottle of liquid mouthwash, and this size is ideal for travel.
The Foaming Mouth Wash is said to utilise ‘foam technology’ and is proven to restore enamel mineral and reverse enamel erosion caused by daily acid attacks. The foaming format releases micro-bubbles for a sensorial experience that reaches between the teeth and around the whole mouth, delivering lasting freshness and helps to make your teeth stronger and healthier. It’s also alcohol free which is great as many mouthwashes contain an high alcohol content, and this is obviously something anyone can use regardless of their gender.
Men-Ü Facial Wash 100ml worth £10.95 (full size)
The Men-Ü Facial Wash is ideal for using pre and post shave with an unique soap-free formula which deeply cleanses skin and contains powerful ingredients, including antiseptic tea tree oil to protect from breakouts and shaving rashes. Witch Hazel soothes, heals the skin and controls grease especially around the T-Zone whilst aloe vera and vitamin B5 moisturise skin to leave it hydrated and healthy-looking. The bottle has an handy pump dispenser for easy application and you only need one pump per use so this 100ml bottle will last for a pretty long time.
Molton Brown Tobacco Absolute Bath and Shower Gel 300ml worth £22 (full size)
This item was the product my other half was most looking forward to trying within the Mankind Christmas Collection as we both love Molton Brown. Until now, his favourite Molton Brown scent has been Black Peppercorn but Tobacco Absolute has definitely overtaken as it smells amazing. If you’ve never tried one of the Molton Brown Bath and Shower Gels before, you really must as they’re lovely with so many different scents to choose from.
Tobacco Absolute is said to have top notes of elemi, bergamot and grapefruit, heart notes of cedarwood, nutmeg and rosewood and finally base notes of tobacco, leather and Peruvian balsam. It’s such a gorgeous strong, woody scent which doesn’t smell like tobacco like you’d expect but it’s amazing and Rob’s already tried it, and the scent lingered within the bathroom for hours after.
Korres Fig Shower Gel 250ml worth £8 (full size)
Gotta love a good Korres Shower Gel as they’re relatively affordable considering how high quality they are, and this ‘fig’ scent is a good unisex scent. It’s a thick gel which turns to foam on contact with wet skin. The shower gel contains Active Aloe, rich in vitamin C, E, zinc and antioxidant enzymes, which enhance the immune system of your skin.
Furthermore, due to its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis, Active Aloe helps reduce the visible signs of ageing. For an £8 shower gel it definitely sounds impressive, and although I’ve never tried the Fig version, I have tried other Korres Shower Gels and I really rate them.
Recipe For Men Deodorant 75ml worth £16 (full size)
I think all men would appreciate a luxury deodorant as it’s a product everyone uses (I hope) so it’s nice to have a decent one, and this particular deodorant is alcohol free which is always a winner. This is a twist up solid deodorant stick designed to glide over the skin effortlessly, absorbing quickly with a gentle, kind to the skin formula. The formula is enriched with soothing Allantoin and Shea Butter, working to neutralise bacteria, without causing irritation to delicate underarm skin.
Some deodorants can have a really overpowering scent which competes with your chosen fragrance, but the Recipe For Me Deodorant has a naturally refreshing scent comprising a blend of light green, woody and floral notes. I know it’s not the most exciting product in the world, but it’s definitely a good addition to the Mankind Christmas Collection in my opinion.
Hanz De Fuko Claymation 56g worth £16 (full size)
How have I never heard of Hanz De Fuko before?! Hanz de Fuko’s collection of hair pomades, clays and wax contain 100% Certified Organic all natural ingredients which is rare for a man’s haircare range especially for styling products. The Claymation is described as being a ‘clay – wax hybrid, made with a touch of quicksand’. Claymation contains all natural ingredients and Certified Organic Extracts, which means it’s actually good for your hair while providing powerful, “all-day” nourishment from roots to ends.
Hanz De Fuko have opted for a water soluble formula with the ultimate pliability for a semi-matte style with supreme holding power. Rob likes using clays and waxes in his short hair so the idea of an hybrid definitely appeals to him and you only need a pea sized amount spread through the palms to warm it up before smoothing it through the hair to gently style it.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 50ml worth £85 (full size)
I can’t believe the Mankind Christmas Collection contains the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream as it’s such an amazing, award winning product which is highly sought after so it’s fantastic Mankind were able to include it within this collection especially as it’s an £85 product. I might have to share this with Rob as I’ve tried it in the past and I absolutely loved it. Elemis describe it as being an anti-wrinkle day cream which firms, smooths and hydrates the skin, and is said to be clinically proven to reduce the depth of wrinkles, improve skin firmness and hydration in 14 days – wow.
I’d really recommend looking online at the statistics Elemis have to back up their claims as it sounds like a miracle in a jar. The Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is suitable for all skin types, and is best used in the mornings with just a pea sized amount smoothed over the face, neck and décolleté in upward stroking, sweeping motions. If you were dying to try this one particular product, I think it would be amazing to purchase the Mankind Christmas Collection for £15 more so you could use the Pro Collagen Marine Cream and gift the other eleven products to the men in your life.
Jack Black Supreme Cream Triple Cushion Shave Lather 226ml worth £24 (full size)
Jack Black is a brand I’ve seen mentioned in American YouTube videos and I didn’t know you could even get their products in the UK, but Mankind stock their skincare, haircare and bodycare products. The Supreme Cream creates a rich, thick luxurious lather to lift hair up and away from the skin for the ultimate smooth and close shave. Described as having a ‘Triple Cushion Technology’ with ultra-nourishing and hydrating Macadamia Nut Oil, Glycerine and Soybean Oil, allows the razor to glide close to the skin while offering a cushion of protection against razor burn, irritation, nicks and cuts.
I don’t know very much about shaving creams at all as I use a simple shaving gel for my legs but it sounds like the perfect shaving cream to lather the skin, and create a smooth surface for the razor/shaver to get a super close shave. The tub format means it could be used with a shaving brush too, but it can just be used with the hands too and is said to be suitable for even sensitive skin and coarse beards.
Anthony Shower Sheets 12 Sheets worth £20 (full size)
The last of the twelve items within the Mankind Christmas Collection are the Anthony Shower Sheets which are a box of twelve individually wrapped oversized sheets suitable for cleansing the entire body. The sheets are infused with a host of beneficial ingredients, including Glycolic Acid, Peppermint Oil and Vitamin E to effectively cleanse and deodorise skin when you don’t have time to shower. These sound like such a genius product for after the gym, for camping, for festivals or for freshening up before a big night out. I’ve never heard of anything like this before but they sound like such a genius product.
I hope you can see how amazing this Mankind Christmas Collection is. It’s such an extremely good value set, and the fact there’s 12 products means it would work brilliantly as an advent calendar for the guys as you could wrap each product up and number them. There aren’t any decent male advent calendars so I think this is the perfect alternative, and when it’s just £100 and worth over £475 it’s probably one of the best value advent calendars you could possibly buy. You can purchase the perfect gift for guys from the Mankind website whilst stocks last.
