Pickering’s Gin Baubles

Rewinding back to a couple of years ago, baubles were known as Christmas decorations which you’d simply pack away with your Christmas tree once Christmas was over but baubles have come a long way over the last few years and you can now get all different types of gift baubles containing beauty products, food, toys and even spirits. When it comes to my Christmas tree, I prefer clear lights so they can make my decorations glow and as soon as I saw the Pickering’s Gin Baubles I knew they’d look incredible on my Christmas tree. The Pickering’s Gin Baubles even scooped the ‘Innovation of the year’ award at the Scottish Gin Awards last year.

Pickering’s Gin are based in Edinburgh, and is made in the Summerhall Distillery; the first exclusive gin distillery to be established in Edinburgh in over 150 years. The Pickering’s Gin recipe is based on an original recipe dating back from 1947 and features nine Bombay botanicals, engineered by the owners to create Pickering’s famous full-bodied flavour with the perfect bitter-sweet balance. Interestingly enough, their multi-award winning gin only began in 2013 and you can learn more about the story behind the brand here.

I have a few spirit based gift ideas for my blog this Christmas, but the Pickering’s Gin Baubles £30 would make for an amazing gift for your own Christmas tree or for somebody else. The Pickering’s Gin Baubles are a set of six brightly coloured baubles each containing 5cl of Pickering’s Gin nestled within a pretty box. The baubles each have rose gold metallic caps with red Pickering’s branded ribbons so you can hang them onto the branches of your Christmas tree.

The baubles will look so pretty nestled amongst your Christmas lights on the tree, and the translucent coloured plastic will great an amazing brightly coloured glow. Pickering’s launched their Gin Baubles back in 2016 and they were so popular, they sold out within 82 seconds so Pickering’s have brought their baubles back each year ever since and it’s easy to see why they’re so popular.

Priced at £30 for six baubles, it works out at £5 per bauble and they each contain 5cl of gin so you could choose to gift them individually to different people or as the set of six. I can imagine having a tree full of these baubles and then on Christmas day treating your guests to a bauble each, and you could even refill them once you’ve drunk them as the baubles are so well made.

I’d love to know your thoughts on the Pickering’s Gin Baubles?
