Pinterest is one of my favourite ways to procrastinate, as I love pinning away and getting inspiration for beauty, home decor, recipes and fashion. I don’t have the roomiest of homes so good storage is essential to make the most out of the space I do have so I thought I’d do a post sharing some top home storage ideas on how to make the most of the space you do have.
For makeup storage I like to use acrylic storage for my everyday makeup products as the clear acrylic makes it easy to see what’s inside each drawer. I like to use acrylic storage on the top of my drawers and desks as it doesn’t take up any floor space, and I try and change up the makeup I do have on rotation by switching up the products within my acrylic drawers.
I like how sturdy acrylic storage can be too and I feel like because I can see what is inside each drawer, it makes me more likely to use what’s inside the drawers instead of being tucked away in my nine drawer wooden storage. For my makeup brushes I like to keep my larger brushes within my main makeup storage, but my eyeshadow blending brushes and cheek brushes are kept in recycled candle jars on my dressing table as they’re my most used makeup brushes.
For clothes storage I have a number of clothing rails in my bedroom rather than wardrobes as again I like to be able to see my favourite fashion pieces when deciding what I want to wear each day. I like clothing rails as they allow me to storage my shoes underneath, but Cox&Cox have many different designs depending on your preference when it comes to clothes storage. I even hang some of my handbags on my clothes rail as there’s a few handy hooks which help to keep my bags in shape.
My favourite way to store my jewellery is within a mirrored jewellery armoire. Mine houses my necklaces without them being tangled up, my earrings, my bracelets and rings which also protects them from being damaged or dust. It’s a really great space saver too as it doubles up as my full length mirror. You could also keep your jewellery within an acrylic cube but I prefer to keep my acrylic storage for my makeup and skincare products.
I’d love to know if you have any storage tips or ideas?
