Christmas may be over and my gift guide posts finished for the year, I spotted the Bioderma Beauty Essentials Set and thought it would be a great set if you’re planning on detoxing your skin post Christmas. I know I’m not the only one that enjoys all of the festive treats over Christmas but my skin definitely doesn’t enjoy them so I’m really enjoying using more clarifying products to try and get my skin back to looking its best. Bioderma are such a great skincare brand and I’ve tried many of their products over the last few years and I think the Bioderma Beauty Essentials Set is the perfect starter kit if you’re new to the brand, or you’re wanting to try more of their products.
The Bioderma Beauty Essentials Set is available from Look Fantastic and is £22.50 whilst the contents are worth £34.10 so it’s a great set value wise, especially if you have any Christmas money left over that you want to invest in some quality skincare products.
The set comes in a pretty white gift box with a gold foil polka dot design which doesn’t look particularly festive so you could always stock up for any upcoming birthdays as it’d be a really lovely treat and the products would work for everyone.
The first item within the Bioderma Beauty Essentials Set is a really cute cotton pad case which zips up to keep them protected, and the cotton pads are pretty luxurious too. I don’t have a case for my cotton pads but it’s a genius way of carrying cotton wool without it becoming dirty or damaged when travelling. The case can easily be squeezed too so it doesn’t take up much room and it even has an loop handle on the top of the lid.
The first Bioderma skincare product is one I’ve reviewed in full on my blog recently and I love it so much. It’s the Bioderma Hydrabio Rich Moisturising Care Crème. It’s the moisturiser I’m using in the evenings right now as it’s so hydrating, which is exactly what my skin needs right now for the winter months. It even comes with a little spatula so you can scoop out as much as you need without putting bacteria into the jar, and I really recommend the whole Bioderma Hydrabio range as it’s specifically designed to add hydration into the skin.
“A deeply hydrating moisturiser specially formulated to improve moisture and radiance in dry to very dry skin. Restoring suppleness and softness, the intensely hydrating cream has a rich texture inspired by the structure of the epidermis to encourage better penetration, and utilises a dose of Salicylic Acid to slough away dead skin cells and smoothen skin’s texture.
Formulated with Aquagenium™ (a patented complex that generates instant and lasting hydration), strengthening Vitamin PP and antioxidant Vitamin E to protect against external attacks that can cause premature ageing.
Also contains extract Apple Seed to contribute to improved hydration levels. Improving skin’s natural ability to remain hydrated, the comforting formula will leave dull, lack-lustre skin looking bright, soft and replenished. Infused with a fresh and light fragrance.“
The next product within the Bioderma Beauty Essentials Set is another I know and love; the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Makeup Removing Micelle Solution which I’ve repurchased at least ten times now.
The ‘red’ Bioderma as I call it is from the Sensibio range for sensitive skin and it’s the best makeup remover I’ve ever used although I prefer the ‘blue’ version as it’s a little more hydrating for my super dry skin. I have tried the matching makeup remover wipes but they aren’t as effective as the micellar water which quickly removes makeup – even waterproof mascara without stinging my eyes or stripping my skin of much needed moisture.
“A soothing non-rinse cleanser and make-up remover that instantly decongests the complexion, lifting away surface debris and impurities and guarantees an excellent tolerance.“
The last product within the Bioderma Beauty Essentials Set is a product I’d never tried before and is the Bioderma Atoderm Gentle Shower Gel. I have to be honest, I had no idea Bioderma even had a shower gel but this hypoallergenic shower gel can be used by the whole family even those with sensitive skin as it does have a soap free formula.
Not only is it soap free, it’s also allergen free, paraben free and free from artificial colouring. The blue hue is natural so I imagine it’d be a great option for those with eczema and other skin conditions too. This 100ml size would be good for travel allowances with liquids, but there are also 200ml, 500ml and 1 litre size bottles too.
“A soap-free formula that gently cleanses and soothes dry, sensitive skin. Transforming into a creamy foam upon contact with water, the face and body wash eliminates impurities and minimises feelings of tightness for long-lasting comfort. Imparts a fresh, light fragrance and leaves skin feeling calm, soft and protected.“
The Bioderma Beauty Essentials Set is a really great kit and to get three full sized Bioderma products for £22.50 is fab, and it’s definitely going to help with my skin detoxing over the coming weeks. You can purchase the set from Look Fantastic here.
