I always like discovering new beauty retailers, especially when they have good deals and offers. I was given the chance to try some products from Chemist, which I have to admit is a site I’d never heard of before but they stock many popular beauty brands as well as everything you’d expect to find within a chemist. Chemist are a registered pharmacy so you know you’re getting quality, trusted products.
I couldn’t believe some of the brands Chemist had to offer as no chemist I’ve ever been in have had TIGI, Yankee Candle, LA Girl or Macadamia products in stock. I’ve got a Chemist Beauty haul for you today so keep on reading to see which items I chose..
I used to use lashes almost everyday in my late teens and early twenties but it totally ruined my lashes but I now only wear them for special occasions and I’ve developed a pretty serious latex allergy in the last few years. I never had a problem with latex or adhesive or any kind, but now if I even wear a plaster for ten minutes I blister so although I have a latex free lash glue, I’m still apprehensive about using it as I’m worried about the reaction.
Magnetic lashes have become a big thing this year and whilst I’ve seen both rave and rubbish reviews on them, I thought I’d give them a try as they are the perfect solution for latex allergy sufferers like myself as there’s no glue needed whatsoever. I chose two pairs of the Ardell Magnetic Lashes; a full banded Double Wispies set £9.49 and an Accents 02 set £9.59 which are just half lashes.
In each box you get one pair of lashes, but due to the magnetic design you have two lashes per eye which you attach over and under your natural lashes. I haven’t tried them yet so I don’t know if they work, but if they do they’ll be genius as you could reuse them so many times and not damage your natural eyelashes or have the awful glue residue showing up on your lash bands.
Next up within my Chemist Beauty Haul is an absolute bargain from my favourite haircare brand. I have tried almost all of the TIGI Bed Head ranges, except Elasticate so when I saw this Tween Duo for £13.89 I couldn’t believe my eyes. Each bottle in this shampoo and conditioner duo are 750ml, and are worth £49.45 so £13.89 is a crazy good price for salon quality haircare.
The Elasticate duo are designed for weak hair to add strength, and prevent breakage. They’re formulated with Hydrolyzed Wheat protein which is known for its strengthening properties and ability to penetrate the hair, whilst Kiwi Fruit Extract is a great anti-oxidant. They’re colour safe too which is even better if you happen to dye your hair.
When I spotted some Real Techniques bargains, I knew I had to have them as I love Real Techniques brushes. I chose the Real Techniques Eye Detail + Define Set £5.79 which are half price which is amazing considering they’re one of the brand’s newest brush sets, and the Real Techniques Concealer Brush £4.75 which again was half price. If you purchase just one thing from my Chemist Beauty Haul, let it be something from their Real Techniques range as they’ve even got a five piece brush set for £7.99 right now which is insane.
The last two products I got are Max Factor Mascaras. Max Factor are one of my favourite drugstore mascara brands and I always have at least one of their mascaras open within my ‘open mascara collection’ at any one time as they’re so effective and never let me down and leave me looking like a gothic panda.
I chose one I’d tried before and one I hadn’t.. the Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara is the one I haven’t and was only £3.99 which is ridiculous for a mascara, never mind a Max Factor mascara which are over £10 normally. The mascara I have tried before is the Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara and it was just £3.99 again so I couldn’t resist getting it as I really liked it.
I’d love to know which product within my Chemist Beauty Haul is your favourite?
