My number one bodycare brand above all others is without a doubt Sol de Janeiro; their products are amazing. Not only do the Sol de Janeiro products smell divine, they’re divine to use with lovely formulas and results. I’ve reviewed almost every single Sol de Janeiro products here on my blog so I’m excited to showcase one of their gift sets from their Christmas collection. The Sol De Janeiro Christmas range is so bright and colourful but I wouldn’t expect anything less from such a vibrant and fun beauty brand, and the Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Carnaval Extravaganza is the dream gift for any Sol de Janeiro obsessive.
Sol de Janeiro have two big gift sets this year – a medium sized set called the Bum Bum Carnaval Magic which is £35 and then the big blockbuster, the Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Carnaval Extravaganza which is £56, both of which are available from Cult Beauty. Both sets are beautifully presented and are really great if you’ve been wanting to try the brand yourself to see what the fuss is all about but didn’t know which product to try.
The Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Carnaval Extravaganza contains four different products within the most amazing, brightly coloured gift box with a carnival scene on the front. The sleeve slides off to reveal a pretty, pink gift box with a lid.
So what’s inside the Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Carnaval Extravaganza?!
- Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream 240ml worth £44
- Sol de Janeiro Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel 90ml travel size worth £10
- Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist worth £18
- Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream worth £15
The star within the Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Carnaval Extravaganza gift set is the bestselling Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (reviewed here) and is so worth the hype. I’ve recommended this particular product to so many and everyone that’s bought it on my recommendation have loved it so you really must try it. It’s a super rich and luxurious body butter which isn’t at all greasy and absorbs quickly too.
Not only is it an intensely nourishing body butter, it also works to tighten and smooth the skin thanks to Guaraná caffeine. The trademark Sol de Janeiro scent is a blend of pistachio and caramel, and it’s my favourite bodycare scent and I’m dying for Sol de Janeiro to launch an eau de toilette as I love the scent so much.
Next up is the travel size of the Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel (reviewed here) which is my favourite shower gel full stop. I know shower gels are rarely memorable, but this is such a lovely shower cream which creates a rich, foamy lather that softens the skin and leaves my skin smelling so good for hours after. The full size bottle is £21 but the full size bottle lasts me for around two months as I only need the smallest amount, and I’ve repurchased this shower cream three times already so I’m happy to have a travel size within my stash.
Then we have the second of the three full sized products within the set, the Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist (reviewed here). I know body mists aren’t for everyone but sometimes I don’t fancy wearing a perfume so a body mist is ideal for a lighter scent and I would wear the iconic Sol de Janeiro scent from head to toe if I could. For a body mist, the Brazilian Crush Body Mist lasts for at least four hours which is rare for a body mist.
The last item within the Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Carnaval Extravaganza gift set is the Brazilian Touch Hand Cream (reviewed here). I rarely hear anyone talk about the hand cream within the collection but it’s oh so good, especially if you’re constantly using your phone or tablets as it leaves zero residue on your hands so you can use touchscreens with no problem.
If anything it massages into the skin and feels like you’ve applied water to the skin which I’ve never experienced before, but it’s my go-to handcream when I need to moisturise my hands without waiting around for the cream to fully absorb and my last tube lasted for five months with daily use which is amazing for £15.
The Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Carnaval Extravaganza is such a fantastic gift set, and one I’d totally recommend.
