If you love a beauty brand with personality and cute branding, Unicorn Cosmetics is *the* one. If you didn’t already know, Unicorn Cosmetics were the original brand that launched unicorn horn style makeup brushes which many brands have copied (badly) ever since. Unicorn Cosmetics have extended their product range to include brushes, lashes and more since their initial launch and one of their most popular product ranges is their extensive false lash collection. Unicorn Cosmetics have their lashes divided into four types; 3D Mink Unicorn, Faux Mink Unicorn, Rainbow Lite and Dragon. In addition toe Unicorn Cosmetics lashes, they also offer a false lash applicator and a clear lash glue too.
Who are Unicorn Cosmetics?!
Created by Melissa (Mel Blue), Unicorn Cosmetics are a UK based beauty brand which were originally called Unicorn Lashes when they just offered beautiful lashes. Mel felt as if the beauty community lacked originality and she wanted to create beauty products that would wow people when using them.
The Unicorn Cosmetics website even has a ‘Bazaar’ where they offer products from other brands such as Flamingo Candles, PopaBall, Tangle Angel and more. They are a proud cruelty free beauty brand and even have a vegan makeup brush range. Now onto the Unicorn Cosmetics Lashes..
Unicorn Cosmetics Lashes – Bubble Pop 3D Faux Silk £9.99
The Bubble Pop Lashes are described as being voluminous false lashes which are designed to give a wide eyed look to the eyes. The black lash band features varying lengths and separated fibres made from synthetic silk for an high impact finish. I love how dramatic these lashes look with the clusters of feathery lashes, and they really do have a pretty wispy effect with the perfect amount of curl and lift to blend with your natural lashes.
For each set of the Unicorn Cosmetics lashes, there’s a list of eye shapes which would suit the style and the Bubble Pop design is said to complement almond eyes, hooded eyes, prominent eyes, round eyes and wide eyes too making them a really versatile lash.
Unicorn Cosmetics Lashes – Clementine 3D Faux Silk £9.99
The Clementine Lashes are a little more subtle compared to the Unicorn Cosmetics lashes in Bubble Pop. Clementine has dark, fine vegan fibres which create a natural yet beautiful finish. These particular lashes are one of the prettiest lash styles I’ve ever seen as they have six sections of slightly longer fibres which are nicely spaced out along the lash band.
They look deceptively natural on the eyes, and actually make your eyes look as if you’ve got lash extensions or a lash lift, as they blend so well without being too dramatic. I like that they almost give a winged look to the eye with the placement of the wispy, longer lashes on each corner of the lash band, and they’re said to complement downturned eyes, small eyes and wide eyes too.
There is no doubt, the Unicorn Cosmetics Lashes have the best packaging I’ve ever seen on a pack of lashes. Each pack has a slide out tray for your lashes, but the box is shaped to have a pastel pink unicorn horn and a baby blue unicorn mane, which is just adorable. I know the design won’t be for everyone, but it’s amazing and so fun, and matches the brand’s aesthetic perfectly. The front of the box has a clear window, so you can see which style is which, especially if you own multiple sets, and they’re definitely the prettiest lashes boxes in my collection.
The 3D Faux Silk lashes can be worn upto 15 times, working out at just 66 pence per wear, which really is great value for such beautiful lashes. I think these lashes are beautiful, and they’re really well priced at £9.99 each, especially when you compare them to Ardell lashes which are upto £7.50, but they’re not half as pretty or high quality as the Unicorn Cosmetics lashes.
I’d love to know if you’ve ever tried anything from Unicorn Cosmetics before?
