I’ve been an Anastasia Beverly Hills fan ever since I tried their Lavish Palette back in 2013 and it’s amazing how far the brand has come. I remember how difficult it used to be to buy their products and it was either Cult Beauty or ordering from their US website, they were literally the only two options we had. I ordered my Anastasia Beverly Hills Custom Contour Palette from their US website and it took ages to get to the UK so it’s great that they’re now a lot more accessible across the world. I’ve featured a fair few ABH products here on my blog so far and I’m really excited about the brand new Anastasia Beverly Hills The Sunset Collection which is part of their Spring launches. The Anastasia Beverly Hills The Sunset Collection is limited edition and an online exclusive collection.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills The Sunset Collection is divided into two collections; the Daytime Collection and the Sunset Collection, and both collections contain a four pan eyeshadow palette and two lip products. Anastasia Beverly Hills describe their Daytime Collection as featuring “all new sun drenched shades” and the Sunset Collection as “tones that smolder at twilight“. The products in both of the mini collections can be purchased individually or as part of a set depending on which of the two collections you prefer. The shades in each of the eyeshadow quads have been chosen to complement the shades of the two lip products with both the Daytime and the Sunset collections.
Anastasia Beverly Hills The Sunset Collection – The Daytime Collection
The Daytime Eyeshadow Quad £33 contains four brand new eyeshadow shades for creating beautiful spring-like makeup looks. The palette itself is a pale cream colour as opposed to their typical glossy black plastic casing you’d typically find on their eyeshadow quads, and there’s a pretty sunny inspired rose gold foiled palm leaf design. The four warm toned shades include two mattes and two metallic finish eyeshadows.
- Sunny (Metallic sunset golden yellow)
- Sand Castle (Matte sandy nude)
- Papaya (Matte pastel orange)
- Rose Quartz (Metallic pink with peach shift)
Alongside the Daytime Eyeshadow Quad, there are also two liquid lipsticks, both of which are also brand new shades for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick collection.
- Sunset Punch Liquid Lipstick (Metallic dusty mauve) £20
- Bellini Liquid Lipstick (Metallic golden peach) £20
Anastasia Beverly Hills The Sunset Collection – The Sunset Collection
The Sunset Eyeshadow Quad £33 contains four cool toned eyeshadows; three of which are brand new shades, and one shade is an existing fan favourite – Birkin. The palette for this collection is a pretty lilac hue to complement the cool tones of the shadows, with a dark purple metallic palm leaf print. I really love that ABH have done a different colour for the plastic of each quad, and the shades in each quad really do go together nicely.
- Birkin (Matte warm beige mauve)
- Blue Flash (Duo Chrome blue and violet shift sparkle)
- Streak (Metallic bronzy nude)
- Horizon (Matte grey plum)
Both of the lip products within the Sunset Collection are Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Glosses which are one of my favourite lip gloss formulas.
- Pink Daiquiri Lip Gloss (Multidimensional pink pearl sparkle) £20
- Blue Hawaii Lip Gloss (Multidimensional blue sparkle with a violet shift) £20
I am loving the whole Anastasia Beverly Hills The Sunset Collection and I think they’ve done an amazing job at choosing shades for the quads and lip products for each of the two sub collections. Normally I’m a cool toned shadow fan, but I love the look of both quads and I think £33 is a great price for four full size ABH eyeshadows when you consider it’s £12 for just single shade. I’m not really into the whole metallic liquid lipstick trend, but lipgloss is my favourite so I think I’m going to purchase Pink Daiquiri from the two and the two eyeshadow quads.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills The Sunset Collection is limited edition and an online exclusive collection, so I’d recommend moving quickly if there’s a product you particularly want to avoid disappointment. You can purchase the collection on the ABH US website here, and also the ABH UK website here. If the collection lands on Cult Beauty, I’ll be sure to update this post with further information.
