Have you ever heard of Ditamora Lashes?! I know I hadn’t until last month, but they’re a false lash brand created by Doris, a Spanish Designer. Doris spend two years testing 300 different lash samples from 27 countries in order to find her perfect lash styles, and thus created the brand. All of their lash styles are faux mink which is very important to me as I simply won’t use real mink lashes anymore, and Doris firmly refused to any animal hairs for her lash brand, nor did she want to use human hair after learning that recovered hair from hair salons is both unhygienic and unsafe. With 8 months of research and development with her factory, Doris developed a synthetic hair that is very close to the mink but it completely cruelty free.
The high imitation mink bristles used for the lashes are sterlized in a dust-free workshop are clean, non-toxic and amazingly lightweight. All of the Ditamora Lashes are available individually from their website, but you can also purchase the Ditamora Faux Mink Lashes Dramatic Box containing all eight lash styles for $69 (although the price does fluctuate depending on their current sales). All eight styles of the lashes within the Dramatic Box are beautiful and considering they’re $12 each, I think $69 is a great price for all eight styles especially as they’re reusable lashes. Each of the lash styles is individually packaged within a colourful, vibrant lash box with a clear plastic tray so you can pack them away in between uses.
I really like that the lashes are so different from style to style, and the collection offers more subtle, wispy lash styles as well as super dramatic and bold lash styles so you’ll have lashes for every occasion. The most natural lash style in the Dramatic Box is the D1 style, and as the numbers increase, the intensity of the lashes increases too.
Even with the more dramatic styles like D7 and D8, the lash band is remarkably fine so they sit really nicely on the top of your natural lashes for a more seamless blend. Every lash style features lash fibres of different lengths, and they feel very lightweight on the lashes.
I hate false lashes that feel heavy on the eyes, and feel as if you’ve got caterpillars laying across your lashline but all eight lash styles are super pretty, lightweight and are very well made. The quality of these lashes is on par with mink lashes but they’re obviously a lot more affordable than genuine mink lashes, as well as being cruelty free.
