Louise Young Makeup Brushes are professionally known as being some of the best quality brushes within the makeup artistry industry, and I own and love quite a lot of their beautiful brushes. When I heard that they were pulling their entire makeup brush line and were revamping the brushes to feature luxurious vegan bristles I have to admit I was a little apprehensive.
As a whole I tend to prefer natural bristled brushes for my eye makeup and synthetic bristles for my face makeup, so I wasn’t sure if I’d love my favourite Louise Young brushes being changed to synthetic bristles. The Louise Young Luxury Vegan Makeup Brushes have recently relaunched and I was excited to give them a try, and see how they compared to my existing brushes.
Over the years, I’ve featured nine Louise Young brushes here on my blog as well as their makeup range and even the Louise Young Timeless Beauty book. I remember purchasing my very first Louise Young makeup brush; the LY24A Superfine Liner Brush after watching Pixiwoo use it in their Eyeliner Masterclass video (back when Daily Mix was a thing) back in 2013. I religiously use the brush for eyeliner and it looks and performs just as well six years later.
Not only are the Louise Young brushes and makeup products really high quality, Louise herself is such a lovely, kind person and it’s easy to see why she’s so loved within the beauty community. Sometimes brands don’t care when bloggers purchase and feature their products, but that’s not the case for Louise which is one of the reasons I’ll continue to purchase Louise Young products. The Louise Young Luxury Vegan Makeup Brushes haven’t changed in their design, as they all still have the super sleek matte brown wooden handles and silver metal ferrules and the brush’s name is printed on the underside of each brush.

“The Mini Socket Brush is great for creating defined eye looks. Use to apply and blend shadow along the lash line or create a definite socket line.”
All seven of these Louise Young Luxury Vegan Makeup Brushes are fantastic quality, and it’s amazing how the bristles don’t feel as if they’re synthetic. One of the reasons I don’t normally love synthetic eye brushes is how shiny the bristles are, and I find the shiny type of eye brushes don’t lay down colour very well but these vegan bristles don’t feel at all shiny or plasticy.
They all lay down colour very well, blend beautifully and wash very well too. They perform just as well as their original range of brushes, and I’d really recommend trying the new Louise Young Luxury Vegan Makeup Brushes if you’re on the lookout for some luxurious new brushes.
