MUA Super Stylo Satin Finish Lipsticks Review and Swatches

MUA Super Stylo Satin Finish Lipsticks Review and Swatches

MUA are on a roll with their new launches right now, and it’s been such a long time since I was disappointed with one of their products. I feel like MUA used to be the most popular drugstore brand when I started blogging, and then Revolution took over.

However over the last six months or so, MUA have been launching some really great, unique products and their prices aren’t increasing quickly like Revolution so they’re remaining true to their budget roots.

When MUA launched their MUA Super Stylo Satin Finish Lipsticks last year, they did a number of Instagram Stories on them with swatches and they looked amazing so I bought two shades and I’ve worn them so often ever since.

The MUA Super Stylo Satin Finish Lipsticks are available in a total of eight different shades and are just £3 each. They were even shortlisted for the PURE Beauty Awards.

The lipsticks claim to have a full coverage, soft and creamy formula with a satin finish. As well as having a moisturising feel, they glide across the lips for a plush finish.

All of the shades are really pretty and wearable, but I chose the two palest; World Class and Super Nude as I knew they’d be shades I’d get a lot of use from.

Word Class is a medium pink which looks a lot bolder in the swatch than it looks on the lips, and for me it’s a great everyday pink lipstick.

My favourite though is Super Nude as it’s the perfect slightly pinky toned nude which is so easy to wear as it complements any makeup look.

They have a balmy, very creamy formula which feels more like a lip balm than a lipstick but the pigmentation is surprisingly intense.

These swatches are just one single swipe of each shade, and they really remind me of the MAC Cremesheen formula in that they’re flattering and comfortable on the lips with a decent level of shine. The weartime isn’t brilliant but that’s typical for a formula like this, but they’re easy to apply and well worth £3.
