The Schwarzkopf Got2B haircare range is really underrated and the products are never really promoted instore either. I’ve used their products since my teens, with their Dry Oil Mist being a product I must have repurchased over ten times over the years. I was checking the ‘new in’ section of Superdrug’s website and I came across their Schwarzkopf Got2B Oh My Nude Haircare Collection.
I haven’t heard anything about this range but I decided to try two products as I’ve been on the lookout for a drugstore detangler, and the Schwarzkopf Got2B Oh My Nude Haircare Collection included a detangler within their range.
Schwarzkopf Got2B Oh My Nude Haircare Collection – Silk’ly Done Detangling Spray £4.19
The best hair detangler I’ve ever tried is the amazing TIGI Bedhead Beach Freak Detangling Spray, and I love it so much but I’ve been hopeful that a budget option exists however I’m yet to find a product which is as effective as the TIGI spray. The Silk’ly Done Detangling Spray claims to make hair free from knots and tangles and give it a silky touch and natural-looking added shine.
With the aim to smooth and moisturise, detangle and add natural shine, and supposedly contains “liquid silk” but I’m not entirely sure if that’s true or not. The spray has a milky colour and consistency, and needs to be stored upright and shaken before use. When misted over damp hair, it makes my hair feel quite slimey which instantly worried me the first time I used it as my hair is so fine, and becomes weighed down so easily.
Even though it leaves my hair feeling slimey, it somehow doesn’t once I’ve either dried my hair with my hairdryer or let it air dry. I think this slimey consistency may be too much for oily hair, but it somehow works for my hair and it does help to make my hair more manageable when it comes to trying to brush it. It isn’t as good as TIGI, but if you’re after an effective detangler which makes the hair easier to brush, this isn’t a bad option and it’s under £5.
Schwarzkopf Got2B Oh My Nude Haircare Collection – Air Does It Air Dry Foam Spray £4.19
The Air Does It Air Dry Foam Spray wasn’t a product I was that fussed about trying, but the offer at the time was two Got2B products for £6 so I grabbed it as my second option as I didn’t want the hairspray or taming spray.
This foam spray claims to create frizz-free, smooth hair with light and airy hold, with no need for using heat tools, with an air foam consistency. I know Ouai have an Air Dry Foam which is £24 but I’ve never tried it myself so I can’t compare, but they do have similar product descriptions so it wouldn’t surprise me if Schwarzkopf created the foam to be similar to Ouai.
It is essentially a spray mousse without the stickiness and heaviness that some mousses have, and it does feel like air within damp hair without leaving the hair crunchy. It has an atomiser like an hairspray, and the mousse dispenses in a very fine mist leaving the hair covered in tiny white bubbles. This product is great for my naturally wavy, frizzy hair as you can scrunch it through damp hair and let it encourage your natural waves and curls to form as it air dries.
As the weather’s been super cold lately, I’ve not wanted to let my hair air dry very often but I imagine this will be my go-to come the summer months when it’s way too hot to use hot tools, and I just want my hair to look effortless and beachy. I haven’t got a product like this in my collection and it’s my favourite from the two as it is so easy to use and it smells amazing too.
I’d love to know if you’ve tried anything from the #OhMyNude collection?
