The Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion is such an iconic product, and a product I have repurchased many times over the years but I realised I’ve actually never dedicated a whole post to my love of the Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter.
Whenever Soap and Glory have one of their Christmas Star Gift offers each year, they always include this body lotion and it was one of the products they launched as part of their very first collection back in 2006. Soap and Glory have recently launched a special edition of their cult favourite body lotion which is available both instore and online at Boots, and it’s beautiful.
The Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter is £10 for 300ml of product normally, but this special edition is £11 and contains the full size body lotion inside a beautiful little tin. The special tin launched just before Valentine’s Day, but it’s such a pretty tin and I think it would make for such a cute Mother’s Day gift or a gift for yourself if you fancy treating yourself. The tin has a matte finish, with a pretty striped design with pastel pink roses. I’m going to use the tin for storing hair bobbles, hair grips and hair clips as it’s such a nice size.
If you have super dry skin, or like a very intensive body lotion, the Soap and Glory The Righteous is something you need to try. It’s one of their award winning products and they’ve even launched a Righteous Butter Body Wash which I’m planning on purchasing very soon as I really want to see how it compares to their other body washes I love.
The lotion contains softening shea butter and aloe vera, and Soap and Glory recommend applying the lotion to damp skin which is something I’ve never tried myself but I really need to try as I usually just apply it to my dry skin post-shower.
The scent is quite heavy so it’s not for everyone, with notes of leafy greens, bergamot and mandarin, floral and fruity middle notes plus soft woody hints of musk, oakmoss and amber. The fragrance is the Soap and Glory Original Pink fragrance, so you’ll only love this lotion if you love the Original Pink scent. The scent lingers for hours too, so you need to love the scent as it sticks around for such a long time.
The Righteous Butter is the most heavy duty body lotion I’ve tried, and it’s not the kind of lotion I apply during the summer as the scent is too overpowering and the formula is too rich. However it’s the perfect lotion for the winter months when your skin’s lacking in moisture. It’s my favourite lotion to apply to my legs after shaving, and it leaves the skin feeling extremely soft and silky for a good 24 hours after application. It’s such a classic product, and for good reason too.
Have you ever tried the Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter before?
